“I am doing a film, energies are focused there. I am a firm believer in doing just one film at a time. I am new and should concentrate,” Varun told IANS.

After debuting with “Student Of The Year” (SOTY), which did fairly good business at the box office, the youngster will be next seen in his father David Dhawan’s “Main Tera Hero”.

His performance in “Student Of The Year” was greatly appreciated and he feels he shouldn’t take success for granted.

“The response was overwhelming, so you can’t take the audience’s faith for granted. If it is there today, it can all go tomorrow. I need to reach a higher level in my next film,” he said.

Varun had been romantically linked to his “SOTY” co-actor Alia Bhatt.

Asked him about that, Varun clarified: “I don’t react to this. If it is a rumour, I don’t read it. I try to clear it, but to be honest, I don’t know how to clear it.”

“I am happy being alone as a person. I wish I could tell people that please don’t put me into relationships, especially these fake ones. People write what they want to…I am just going to leave it at that. I don’t think it is to be fought,” he said.

Apparently “Johnny Gaddaar” fame director Sriram Raghavan has finalised him for his next venture, but Varun said: “I am keen to work with him. I don’t want to comment as I am not on the production of the film. As and when something is finalised, I guess they will make the announcement.”

The duo have been roped in as the brand ambassadors for the same.

“‘Main Tera Hero’ is one of our most commercial scripts. An out and out youth and family entertainer peppered with the right dose of romance,” said Alpana Mishra, chief executive officer, Balaji Motion Pictures, in a statement.

“Varun has amassed an incredible following post ‘SOTY’ amongst the teenagers and his father is the best when it comes to delivering family entertainers. We are super excited to bring the family together,” she added.

It was a star studded affair at the screening of Bombay Talkies, with prominent Bollywood biggies, including veteran writer Javed Akhtar and filmmaker Anurag Kashyap were in full attendance.

Held at the Light Box in Santacruz, Mumbai, the event also saw celebrities like Ranveer Singh, Randeep Hooda, Gauri Shinde, Punit Malhotra, Varun Dhawan, Sonam Kapoor, Ritesh Sidwani and Kalki Koechlin.

Directed by four directors, Zoya Akhtar, Karan Johar, Anurag Kashyap and Dibaker Banerjee, Bombay Talkies is a compilation of four short films, with Rani Mukherjee doing Karan’s part, Katrina kaif has been roped in for Zoya’s story, Superstar Amitabh Bachchan will be playing himself in Anurag Kashyap’s short story and Dibaker Banerjee’s story will see Ranbir Kapoor, who appears in every frame of the movie.

20 singers have come together to lend their voices for the anthem of the movie and has been choreographed by Vaibhavi Merchant. The music in this movie is given by Amit Trivedi and Lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya & Swanand Kirkire. Bombay Talkies releases on May 3.

The trained dancer had to do a jig for the ‘Tibetan yak dance’ ad for aerated drink brand Coke. He is seen dancing with the ‘yak’ and offering a bottle of Coke to it.

If sources are to be believed, the ad makers insisted on not having any choreographers on set. When Varun learned that he just has to be himself and dance unrehearsed to make it look natural, he was all for it.

To shoot the promo for this movie Karan Johar called 6 young actors namely Sidharth Malhotra, Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, ArjunKapoor, Parineeti Chopra and Imran Khan. The music for the movie has been given by Vishal and Shekhar. The  movie is directed by Sonam Nair. Incidentally, Gippi is the first kids film to be produced by Karan.

David, during the promotion if Chasmee Bhadoor told “Its payback time I would say with Varun Dhawan’s entry into showbiz. After working so hard in the industry, I am glad the industry has accepted my son. It’s the initial stage and the way they have welcomed him nothing like it. I am extremely proud of Varun Dhawan.”

Chasmee Badoor is the remake of 1981 classic with the same name, but David feels he could not beat the original film any day.

“Whatever I could, I have done and made some changes and kept the soul of the film. I haven’t removed the soul of the film and kept it entertaining,” Said Dhawan

Chasmee Bhadoor is the movie about 3 friends who fall in love with one girl and about what kind of troubles they go through in doing so. The movie stars pakistani singer and actor Ali Zaffer, tollywood star Siddharth and Tapsee Pannu plays the female lead, Varun Dhawan did a cameo role in the movie.
