Varun Dhawan was born 24 April 1987 to Indian film director, David Dhawan and his wife, Karuna Dhawan. His younger brother, Rohit Dhawan, is a director. Varun has a degree in business management from Nottingham Trent University, UK.
Varun Dhawan made his debut in Karan Johar’s Student Of The Year along with Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt. The movie was a blockbuster and turned these debutants into rising stars. Varun Dhawan got his first nomination for the Filmfare Awards for the Best Male Debut in 2013.
As of 2013 Varun is busy shooting for two new projects, Chashme Buddoor and Mai Tera Hero.
