Kareena Kapoor who was last seen with Aamir Khan in the super hit Talaash calls the actor a living legend.

“Aamir is a living legend. He has a beautiful mind and he definitely is one of the finest actors of all time,” Kareena Kapoor said during India’s Prime Icon program aired on Big CBS Prime.

The actor is competing with the likes of Amitabh Bachchan, Sachin Tendulkar, A.R. Rahman and Narendra Modi for the title of “India’s Prime Icon”.

That’s not it, Kareena’s elder sister Karisma, who has also worked with Aamir in one of the best films of all time, Raja Hindustani also chipped in saying that working with Aamir is like a dream come true for any actress.

Karisma said: “Aamir is most definitely an icon and a true legend. He is always up to something new and different. I’ve had the opportunity of working with him in iconic films like ‘Raja Hindustani’ and ‘Andaaz Apna Apna’.”

“I’m really happy that after ‘Talaash’ and ’3 Idiots’ even Kareena-Aamir jodi has become a hit pair,” she added.

The lyrics of Fevicol Se are raunchy and a bit hilarious, but will surely work with most sections of the audience. Mamta renders the Bhojpuri feel and is joined by Wajid and Keerthi Sagathia. It also has a remix version which has some good techno beats and it is as entertaining as the original.

Jiya Lage Na- Talaash

Jiya Lage Na is a good mix of Indian Classical and Electronic beat, but the vocals could have helped the track.

Meri Shaadi Karao- Meri Shaadi Karao

Meri Shaadi Karao had Deler Mehndi’s son playing the lead role. The song is sung by Delehr Mehndi and is filled with Punjabi music elements.

Pandeyji Seete Maare features Malaika Arora Khan, and her magic is expected to work again! Queen of item songs, singer Mamta Sharma croons to glory in this number and she is supported well by Wajid and Shreya Ghoshal

Oye Boy Charlie- Matru Ki Bijilee Ka Mandola

Oye Boy Charlie is a very funny and groovy number. Anushka Sharma, Imran Khan and Pankuj Kapoor shake a leg together in the song.

Farhan Akhtar said at the success party of the film Talaash: “It automatically speaks something about the content of the film. He is someone who is known to attach himself to a film that has a serious story to tell and something new to share with people.”

He further added: “He is known to do that and when he attaches himself to a movie like ‘Talaash’, it automatically sends out a signal to the people that there must be something interesting going on in the movie.”

Aamir Khan played the lead role in the film, besides that he also co-produced the movies Talaash with Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani.

Farhan, however, accepts that Aamir’s celebrity status is also a major reason why people come to watch a film.

“This is completely apart from his celebrity status. That of course brings in numbers and it brings a lot of people wanting to watch him as fans, but also, I think it brings in a certain credibility to a project,” Farhan said.

Farhan also wrote a few dialogues in the film. The actor is gearing up for his next film Bhaag Milkha Bhaag in which he plays the role of an athlete.

Long Drive- Khiladi 786

Long Drive is a daring experiment by Himesh, who has got Mika behind the mike in a different avatar altogether. He is slow, yet his voice doesn’t dilute the track instead, it allures you all the more towards it.

Tenu Ki- Meri Shadi Karao

Tenu Ki is a very peppy number from the upcoming film Meri Shadi Karao. The song is a perfect clubbing song and has a lot of electro beats.

Jee Le Zara- Talaash

Jee Le Zara has still managed to keep it’s place in the top 5. Vishal Dalani’s voice adds energy to this track. It’s composed superbly and has the perfect beats to match Vishal’s voice.

Balma- Khiladi 786

Shreya Ghosal goes into seductive mode with this one, and is lovely here and Shriram complements her well during the chorus. Balma is atribute to R.D. Burman, and it doesn’t disappoint. It features Burman’s signature bongo beats and his ‘hah hah’ punctuating the beats.

Aamir Khan’s Talaash is out and is doing great at the box office, and now the superstar talks about his dream of acting in the epic tale Mahabharata and producing it. His only problem is that he doesn’t have the courage to do so.Superstar Aamir Khan dreams of bringing the epic tale of Mahabharata on the big screen, but says he lacks courage to do it.

Aamir Khan said: “My dream is to make Mahabharata and I don’t know if I will be able to fulfill this dream or not. It is a very difficult dream and a scary dream, because every time I think about it I feel I won’t be able to do it. I am unable to gather the courage.”

“It is such a huge responsibility. I don’t know if I will be able to fulfill it or not. This subject has been in my heart from a long time,” he added.

Asked what character he would want to play from the epic story, the 47-year-old said: “My favorite character is Karna. But I feel I won’t be able to do that role. I don’t suit the character. I think I would suit the role of Krishna.”

Meanwhile, the actor is happy about the box-office success of his suspense thriller Talaash.

Aamir Khan said: “We always knew that Talaash is not universal. Universal films are those which are liked by one and all. Talaash was never meant to be a universal film. In spite of that it did great business being in the mainstream zone. As it deals with the supernatural concept it’s not universal in nature. And when you deal with supernatural there will always be some lot who would say that they don’t believe in it and hence the film is not for them. But remaining 80-90% have liked the film, the response has been good. I am happy that the film is loved by its Target Audience. Talaash might not appeal to all sort of audience. When I had first heard the script even my reaction was the same so I am quite thrilled about that.”

“I am happy with the result as it is not on the lines of masala films like Singham and Dabangg. Talaash is very emotional, sensitive film. We are more than happy to know that the emotion that I went through while shooting for the film, even the audience went through the same emotion while watching it. Moreover, it did good business in the weekend despite the fact that it released on a non-holiday Friday or weekend,” added Aamir.

From the first promotions of the film, everyone thought that the film was a suspense thriller but it’s actually supernatural. When Aamir was asked about why he didn’t say that during the promotions, he said: “If I’d tell you it’s a supernatural beforehand then you would have guessed too much. It was very difficult for us to tell you that it’s supernatural. Even your sixth sense didn’t tell you that it’s supernatural. You rather discovered while watching it. If I open the cards so much then you would have probably not enjoyed it. In fact, I never went ahead and said that it’s a thriller film because the pace of a thriller is fast, there is whole lot of action involved in it and Talaash is not like that. It was always a suspense film and the pace of it is always meant to be slow which creates an intrigue value.”

Ask Aamir if at this stage he looks for one time box-office collection or the repeat value is of much more importance to him. Also how much repeat value Talaash carries? To which Aamir says, “No I don’t think that suspense drama does not have any repeat value. In fact people are liking it second and third time. The more time they are seeing the film they are enjoying it. Talaash does have repeat value. And collections only tell you part of the story. It is always collections combined with audiences’ response that I look for. In this case the collections are outstanding and so is the response. I would not say that 100% reaction for this film is entirely positive as, to be honest, many people may not like a supernatural film and I understand it.”

Aamir also said that films like Talaash should be made more and more as there is still a lot of scope for the suspense/emotional genre.

“I am happy that Talaash is a success because it is a very difficult film to make. In the mainstream we fear to make such kind of films. So when such films work which are so different, which push the envelope and boundaries which in turn gives the creative people a new high and chance to explore their talent” said the 47 year old.

He further added: “Suspense is a great genre which I find very exciting because it’s very intriguing as you don’t know what’s going to happen next. I think we really have lot of space for suspense in our industry as we don’t make that many suspense genre films.”

Aamir added that the entire credit for the films tremendous business goes to director Reema Kagti. He said: “The credit for the success of this film entirely goes to director Reema Kagti. I think as a director and writer Reema has really come up with a beautiful film and has well put on-screen. Every one attached to the film has done a good job but above that it’s Reema’s work which needs to be credited and appreciated.”

“Aamir threw an impromptu party at his residence to celebrate the successful opening of his film. While the
entire cast and crew were present, Kareena was yet again absent from the party. Bebo was scheduled to come but didn’t turn up. No one knows why,” a source told a tabloid.

At the premiere too, Bebo was absent as she had to shoot with Salman Khan for the Bigg Boss 6 special episode.

“She had gone to Delhi for the promotions of Talaash and after two hectic days, she returned with the cast on Thursday morning. She had high fever and a throat infection even then, so she rested for a few hours. But as she had committed to a channel for her appearance on a reality show to launch her item song Fevicol Se from Dabangg 2, she had to leave for Lonavala that same evening,” a source close to Kareena told.

News is that Kareena and her husband, Saif Ali Khan will celebrate the success of Talaash and throw a lavish party for close friends and the Talaash cast, once Saif is back in town.

The makers recently released a video showing Aamir and Rani having a gala time on the film’s sets. Also seen in the video is the film’s director Reema Kagti playing pranks on Mr. Perfectionist. However, soon, the director was on the receiving end too.

Aamir Khan says in the video: “Reema always keeps scolding me. We have a fight going on; if you would read the newspapers, I am sure you know we both want to throttle each other.”

Aware that she was seated beside him, Aamir added, “I was the producer in Lagaan and she still didn’t allow me to eat my breakfast!”

Reema, on the other hand quickly quipped: “Just one day he was asked to hurry up and have his breakfast…. Kya bolen? Ye sab star log! Uff!”

The superstar was also seen having fun with the local kids, where they were shooting.
