March 20 saw Bollywood actor Kangna Ranaut celebrate her 26th birthday with great enthusiasm. The starry night got to witness a lot of style, glamour, luxury, and off course tons of love for the birthday girl.

Guests who made their presence felt were Hrithik Roshan and his wife Suzzane, his parents Rakesh and Pinky Roshan, ‘Kai Po Che’ star Sushant Singh Rajput was spotted with beau Ankita Lokhande and the happily married Riteish Deshmukh with his wife Genelia were in attendance too. Other stars including Mugdha Godse, filmmaker Ekta Kapoor, Tusshar Kapoor, R Madhavan, and many others were also spotted at the do.

Kangna has recently stated that she would want 2013 to be extremely lucky for her. “I have not had a single release last year but this year till my next birthday I will be having six films including Sanjay Gupta’s film, Sai Kabir’s next, Queens, my film with Sunny Deol and Hrithik Roshan’s superhero next,” she said.

Irrfan Khan’s variety of roles and ability to project himself in front of the camera with such ease has seemingly impressed Sushant. A source close to the actor says,”Sushant feels that Irrfan is one of the finest actors in the industry and that he can learn a lot from him about acting and projecting yourself in front of the camera. He has watched many of Irrfan’s films and believes that he has a strong screen presence —
something he would like to achieve too.”

The Kai Po Che! actor is full of praise for the actor and says,”He is one of the finest actors I have seen. He inspires me and I learn so much just by observing his performances. He is truly magical.”

However, the praise is not one sided. Irrfan Khan was generous in his praise for Sushant and he mentioned,”Sushant has a unique mix of charm, intensity and talent.”

The success of Kai Po Che! has turned the cards for this actor as he has bagged roles in a few noteworthy productions. He’s currently juggling shoots for Rajkumar Hirani’s P.K., which stars Aamir Khan, Anushka Sharma and Sanjay Dutt, with a Yash Raj Film directed by Maneesh Sharma. In the latter, he’s paired with Parineeti Chopra.

While there is a buzz that he has rejected an offer to work with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Sanjay Leela Bhansali, his spokesperson refuted such rumours and said,”So far, he has not been contacted by either. They are huge names in the industry, so if he was approached, why would he decline such good offers?”. True!

It is interesting to see that Bollywood is welcoming young talent with open hands while the audience are accepting the change too. Since the past year, several new faces have emerged and have successfully made a mark as well! We wish Sushant Singh Rajput has a flourishing career ahead!

But Sushanth has a bigger reason to smile. Recently this TV actor, who has become the ‘it’ boy of Bollywood has been offered a role in a Karan Johar film as well. Not only this he has also signed another film that will star Sonam Kapoor opposite to him.

According to few sources, “He seems to be doing very well right now. He has inked a deal with Karan Johar’s production house. When the paperwork is done, Sushant and the production house will make their announcements.”

As of now, Sushant Singh Rajput has been shooting in Jaipur for an untitled venture, directed by Maneesh Sharma of Band Bajaa Baraat fame. Moreover, he also has another film with UTV Motion Pictures. With all the new developments, looks like the actor is going places.

“That (comparisons) will happen. (The film) ’3 Idiots’ was also made (based) on a book… But if you watch ’3 Idiots’ and ‘Kai Po Che!’ together, you will not feel that one is lower than the other. Both are equal. I would say ‘Kai Po Che!’ has been made as well as ’3 Idiots’,” Chetan Bhagat said here Thursday in an interview.

The plot of Kai Po Che! is inspired from Bhagat’s ‘The 3 Mistakes of my Life’ while Aamir Khan-starrer 3 Idiots was is the big screen adaptation of his bestseller Five Point Someone.

Kai Po Che!, recently premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival. The film was welcomed warmly and that audiences had responded very well to it.

“I am more than satisfied, I am very happy. Forget Indians, you can show it to anyone, it is of such high standards. It really touches you, very emotional and there would be hardly anyone who would not be touched by the film,” Bhagat said.

“Even European audiences, who don’t know about Gujarat or India, Hindu religion or Muslims, they were so moved by it and that too watching it with subtitles. I think it is going to be something else here,” he added.

Kai Po Che!, releasing Feb 22, features Rajkumar Yadav, Sushant Singh Rajput, Amit Sadh and Amrita Puri.

The tension among Anushka Sharma and Sushant Singh Rajput started brewing when Anuskha went on record and said, “Sushant has only eight days of work…he is just a small chapter in my life.” Well, that was quite a harsh thing to say Anushka and that’s low, even for you. But the story doesn’t end here. Sushant Singh Rajput was not going to go down so easily and that too without a witty remark. Sushant very soon replied: “I will have to check the schedule to know exactly how many days I am shooting. As far as being a small chapter is concerned, I hope it’s an interesting one in her (Anushka) life. I come from the school of actors who believe there are no small roles, there are only small actors.”

While he has strong reviews for his Bollywood debut Kai Po Che!, we now know that he won’t go down without a fight. So for everyone’s sake, we hope Anushka does not cause any more trouble.

Aamir Khan headed to Rajasthan with family on February 1 for the filming for Raju Hirani’s political satire Peekay, which also headlines Anushka Sharma. The actress joined the team by Feb end. She plays the role of an alcohol addict.

We had recently reported about the already thin Anushka Sharma losing some more weight for her role in the film.

Peekay also headlines Sunjay Dutt and Sushant Singh Rajput (Kai Po Che) and the entire star cast are part of the 45 days schedule in Rajasthan. Remaining parts of the film are scheduled to be shot in Delhi and Hungary.

Aamir Khan’s wife Kiran and son Azad will be with the actor thriughout the Rajasthan schedule, while his older son Junaid Khan makes his Bollywood debut as assistant director of the film.

The film which was earlier scheduled for a 2013 Christmas release, has now been postponed to 2014.

Peekay revolves around a chronic alcoholic whose memory is cleaned away because of an accident. With no recollection of the past and no one to worry about him, his only support remains his bottle of alcohol.

A source said that Sanju will play a very important role in P.K. Also, since this is the first time Sanjay Dutt and Aamir Khan will share screen space, Sanju baba is really excited. A while ago there were rumors that Rajkumar’s Peekay is based on the story of a man who questions the existence of god constantly. Even though it sounds very similar too the Akshay-Paresh starer OMG! Oh My God, we are sure that Peekay will be something more original and different, well Rajkumar Hirani can be trusted with that.

South superstar Chiranjeevi’s son Ram Charan Teja will make his Bollywood debut this year in Apoorva Lakhia’s remake of Zanjeer. The shooting for the film has already started and Priyanka Chopra will play the female lead.

Sushant Singh Rajput

This talented actor has made a name for himself with his superb acting in the TV show Pavitra Rishta. Sushant is now gearing up to charm us all on the big screen this year with Kai Po Che, based on Chetan Bhagt’s book The Three Mistakes Of My Life. He will also be seen opposite Aamir Khan in RajKumar Hirani’s Peekay.

Dhanush

Dhanush rose to fame with the song Kolaveri Di, which became one of the biggest chart buster in the world. He has already worked in a few Tamil movies and will make his Bollywood debut opposite Sonam Kapoor in Raanjhnaa. The film is a love story between the two and Dhanush will be seen in different age groups, also as a school boy.

Siddhant Kapoor

He was supposed to make his debut last year, but the film got postponed. Shakti Kapoor’s son Siddhant Kapoor is now looking forward to his release this year. He will feature in Shootout At Wadala as a a sharpshooter in a gang.
