Sushant Singh Rajput is a famous television actor who shot to fame with his Bollywood debut film Kai Po
Che!.
Born in a humble family from Patna, Rajput studied engineering from the Delhi College of Engineering.
His passion for dancing made him join Shiamak Dawar’s dance troupe. He performed with the troupe in
the 2006 Commonwealth Games. In 2008, Balaji Telefilms spotted Sushant and cast him in Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil. His popularity lead him to bag the role of Manav in popular show Pavitra Rishta. He won several awards for his role. He participated in dance reality show Jhalak Dikhlaja 4 and Zara Nachke Dikha 2 and he received lot of
praise for his dance performances.
In 2013, Sushant made his big screen debut. His role Ishaan was well received. Praising his acting
prowess and screen presence, critic Rajeev Masand said,” But it’s Sushant Singh Rajput, making his film
debut as Ishaan, who it’s hard to take your eyes off. The actor has an indescribable presence, and it’s
clear from his confidence and distinct likeability that a star is born.”
Rajput has signed a film with Yash Raj films opposite Parineeti Chopra. He is also doing a cameo in Raj
Kumar Hirani’s film Peekay with Aamir Khan and Anushka Sharma.
