Sonal Chauhan was born on 16 May 1985 in Noida. She started her career as a model and won the Miss World Tourism in 2005 and has ever since appeared in many commercials, ad campaigns, music videos and has been the face of popular brands like Ponds and Nokia.
She made her debut in Bollywood with Jannat starring opposite Emraan Hashmi. The movie was a commercial success but did not get Sonal much mainstream attention. Post Jannat she has appeared in one Telugu and one Kannada film. Later in 2011 she starred in Bbuddah..Hoga terra Baaap and Pehla Sitara. As of 2013 she is working on 3G alongside Neil Nitin Mukesh and Mirnalini Sharma.
