Sherlyn Chopra was born on 11 February 1984 in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. She was born as Mona Chopra but changed her name in order to make a mark in showbiz. Beginning as an actress with the Telugu movie Vendi Mabbulu, she soon won the Miss Andhra beauty pageant which she used as a platform to enter Bollywood.
After several minor Bollywood roles, Sherlyn Chopra shot to fame through Dil Bole Haddipa! starring Rani Mukerji and Shahid Kapoor. She next appeared in Bigg Boss, as a contestant. She is currently working on Kamasutra 3D.
