“The film that I have done with Shahid has come out beautifully. I am extremely excited. It is something, which is very different. I am hoping that everyone loves it,” Ileana, who moved to Bollywood after making a name in the southern film industry with hits like “Devadasu” and “Pokiri”, told IANS in a telephonic interview.

A romantic comedy, “Phata Poster Nikhla Hero” has been directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, known for making serious action-dramas like “Ghayal” and “Damini” movies, had wielded megaphone for fun films like “Andaz Apna Apna” (1994) and “Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani” (2009).

Ileana entered Hindi filmdom with highly acclaimed “Barfi!” and joined Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra in the cast. Although she won praises for her performance, but says she didn’t “expect any sort of appreciation”.

“I am a little pessimistic when it comes to films. It was humbling and felt wonderful to be appreciated. It encourages me to do a lot of better,” said the 25-year-old.

There are other films in the pipeline, but “I am a little superstitious when it comes to these things. I only like to talk about something when I have signed the contract.”

After a prolonged battle with cance, Priyanka Chopra’s dad, Ashok Chopra passed away yesterday. The funeral was held at the Oshiwara crematorium with Priyanka’s brother Siddharth Chopra lighting the funeral pyre.

B-town celebs and Priyanka’s co-stars, Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar, Ranbir Kapoor, Uday Chopra, Deepika Padukone, Anurag Basu, Madhur Bhandarkar, Ranveer Singh, Ramesh Sippy, Vipul Shah, Ramesh Taurani, Daboo Ratnani, Manish Malhotra, Puneet Malhotra and others attended the funeral.

May his soul rest in peace.

Shahid Kapoor must be having millions of fans especially ladies but two of his campatriots – Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh might be the two fans Shahid Kapoor won’t forget!

Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor were shooting for their film, Gunday in Wathar, Maharashtra, while they decided to play a prank on Shahid Kapoor who was also shooting along the same stretch for Pradbhudeva’s Rambo Rajkumar!

Shahid was shooting on top of a truck while an insider from the Gunday unit recalls, ” “We had packed up a little late, so Ranveer and Arjun had their make-up on while heading back to the hotel. They were covered in soot, coal and mud from head to toe. When they were passing by the spot where Shahid was shooting, they thought of the prank.”

The actors screamed hanging out of their car’s windows which startled Shahid. “They started yelling and saying things like, ‘Aye hero, idhar dekh’ and ‘Shahid, oh my God, I love you’,” adds the insider.

“At first, Shahid, Prabhudheva and their entire unit were stunned oShahid Kapoor must be having millions of fans especially ladies but two of his campatriots – Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh might be the two fans Shahid Kapoor won’t forget!n two strange-looking men covered in coal shouting loudly. But once they realised the men were Arjun and Ranveer, they all had a hearty laugh together,”adds the insider.

All the three actors stayed in the same hotel and they gelled well at the gym after their shoot. The actors also had dinner together the same night but were unavailable for any comments.

Shahid debuted in 2003 with hit movie “Ishq Vishk”, which portrayed him as Rajiv, a college boy confused about his feelings for best friend Payal, played by Amrita Rao.

“10 years. Thank you all for all the love,” Shahid, who later gave hits like “Vivah”, “Kaminey” and “Jab We Met”, posted on Twitter.

The movie was directed by Ken Ghosh and it also starred Shenaz Treasurywala.

Actor Vishal Malhotra, also got his big break with the same film where he played Mambo, Shahid’s best friend, also took to the social-networking site to thank his fans.

“10 years ago today my first film ‘Ishq Vishk’ released. Mambo says … Thank you,” he tweeted.

Shahid and Vishal worked together in 2008 movie “Kismat Konnection” as well.

“We were shooting a fire sequence when the chemical used to create the fire went awry. It singed Shahid’s shoulder and hand. It could’ve been worse. Thankfully nothing serious happened,” said a source close to the film.

Meanwhile, the stunts in “Rambo Rajkumar” are getting more and more dare-devilish as Prabhudheva wants them to be one-up on what Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar did in “Wanted” and “Rowdy Rathore”, respectively.

“When Shahid decided to do his first action film, he had to make sure the stunts were of the never-before variety. That’s why he waited so long to do an action film and even opted out of his friend Siddharth Anand’s ‘Bang Bang’,” said the source.

It is little known that “Bang Bang” was a project that was planned with Shahid.

The source said: “But then somewhere down the line Shahid preferred Prabhu’s project as his first attempt at the action genre. ‘Bang Bang’ is a remake of a Tom Cruise actioner ‘Knight and Day’ and Shahid didn’t want his stunts to be compared with Cruise. ‘Rambo Rajkumar’ is an original.”

When contacted, Prabhudheva refrained from commenting on the injury, but he mentioned that he’s taking a break with his two sons.

“We’re going to Australia for a holiday. During my vacation with my kids, I’ll also unveil the first look of Girish Taurani’s debut film ‘Ramaiya Vasta Vaiya’,” he said.

It so happened on Friday that the actor was gearing up for a scene where he has to enter a burning house. The fire was supposedly created by a chemical solution. He was done with the shot and while stepping out of the burning house, it was then that some of the hot chemical solution dripped on to his back and arms.

Thankfully, he was given immediate medical attention and was cleared with some minor burn marks.

“The fire is created artificially through a chemical solution… The solution fell on his back and forearms. The solution was hot and it immediately burnt holes in Shahid’s t-shirt. He half sprinted while removing his t-shirt,” said a source.

The Kaminey star suffered some minor burns for which he obtained treatment from a dermatologist.

The actor recently stated that he hopes to enter the 100 crore club by doing action movies. Shahid Kapoor is also currently shooting for Raj Kumar Santoshi’s Phata Poster Nikla Hero.

There are also reports that suggest Vishal Bhardwaj has roped in Shahid Kapoor for his next movie which is an adaptation of a Shakespearean play.
