Sanjay Leela Bhansali was born on 24 February 1963 in Mumbai. He started his career by assisting Vidhu Vinod Chopra. He made his directorial debut with Khamoshi: The Musical and his first success was Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, starring Salman Khan, Aishwarya Rai and Ajay Devgn. From then on, Sanjay Leela Bhansali produced hits like Devdas, Black, Saawariya and Guzaarish. Apart from being a film director he is also a producer and music director. As of 2013, Sanjay is working on a TV series, Saraswatichandra.
