Sanjay Dutt

Sanjay Dutt was born on 29 July 1959 to Bollywood megastars Sunil Dutt and Nargis. He has appeared in 153 films over a period of 30 years. Apart from his career as an actor, he is also a producer and politician.

Sanjay Dutt made his acting debut in 1981 and has ever since been featured in some of the most popular Hindi films of the past three decades. Although Sanjay Dutt received positive response for all his movies, his roles of gangsters and police officers are the most appreciated and looked forward to. After portrayal of such characters, Sanjay Dutt received the title of ‘Deadly Dutt’.

As of 2013 Sanjay Dutt has acted in over 153 films, out of which, Vaastav, Khal Nayak, Munnabhai M.B.B.S., Saajan, Kroadh, Shootout at Lokhandwala, Kurukshetr, All The Best and Agneepath were unforgettable. He has also been nomitnated for 26 awards, having won 16 of those as Best Actor for Vaastav, Best Comedian for Munnabhai M.B.B.S., Best Supporting Actor for Mission Kashmir, Best Performance in a Comic Role for All the Best and Stardust Award for Best Actor in Negative Role for Agneepath

He is well known for several controversies with the law, along with many other hassles throughout his life. Sanjay Dutt allegedly went through a drug addiction in his early years and reportedly spent 2 years in the United States, in a Texas rehab clinic before he returned to India and resumed his career as an Actor.

Sanjay Dutt was married the actress Richa Sharma in 1987. After Richa Sharma’s death due to brain tumour, their daughter, Trishala, born in 1987, went to United States to live with her grandparents. Sanjay Dutt’s second marriage was to model Rhea Pillai in 1998 but it ended in divorce in 2005. Sanjay Dutt is currently married Manyata, after two years of dating. On 21 October 2010, Manyata gave birth to twins, a boy named Shahraan and a girl named Iqra.
