Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza’s Wedding

The bubbly and cute couple of Bollywood, Riteish Deshmuk and Genelia D’Souza got married after their 9 year long relationship, on 3rd February 2012, in Mumbai. The wedding was a mix of two culture’s – Christian and Maharashtrian. It was totally a star studded affair, with most B-Town celebs in attendance at the venue. Riteish and his bride looked absolutely stunning in their respective wedding attires.

Esha Deol and Bharath Takhtani

Hema Malini’s daughter, Esha Deol got married to Bharat Takhtani at Iskcon Temple in Mumbai. It was quite a private affair with close family and friend attending the wedding. As Hemaji hails from south, the wedding ceremony was conducted in a traditional South-Indian manner. Bollywood celebs from Amitabh Bachchan to Rani Mukherjee were present. Abhay Deol, cousin to Esha, played a perfect brother at the wedding and made sure he fulfilled all his brotherly duties.

Vidya Balan and Siddharth Roy Kapur

Critically acclaimed actress Vidya Balan said ‘I Do’ to UTV’s head honcho, Siddharth Roy Kapur, in a very hush hush ceremony. There was no gliz and glamour at the wedding venue and everything was kept simple. Even the reception was not a very starry affair..

Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan

This was one of the much awaited weddings of the year. Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan had an extravagant private wedding ceremony, as they wanted to keep the media away. It was a completely filmy style wedding with the who’s who of Bollywood at the wedding and enough glamour to last a lifetime. The Nawab and his Begum’s wish to get hitched finally came true at their five day long wedding ceremony.

His last co-production “Himmatwala” was a remake, which failed to enthuse the box office.

Confirming the details about “Humshakal”, Bhagnani told IANS: “I am making ‘Humshakal’. It’s a fresh film and not a remake. The film will be directed by Sajid Khan and it will have Saif and Riteish in the lead. The film will go on the floors by August.”

“We have not yet finalised the leading lady, once we finalise the leading lady, we shall make an official announcement,” he added.

Meanwhile, the filmmaker is also planning some new film for his son Jackky, whose “F.A.L.T.U” and “Rangrezz” bombed at the box office.

“We are planning something for Jackky as well but it’s too early to disclose anything right now. Just give us some time and we will make an official announcement,” he said.

Sunny Deol organised a special song ‘Main aida hi nachna’ in the memory of his father. actor Dharmendra who danced on the song said that he is the no.1 dancer in Bollywood. He also said that he was touched by the generosity of his colleagues who took time from their busy schedules and decided to attend the function.

Kapur, who has choreographed for movies like “Ashoka”, “Saathiya” and “Heyy Babyy”, has judged many reality shows like “Dance India Dance” and “Dance Ke Superstars” and was later crowned as “Geeta Maa” by her fans.

Amused to see her fans’ love for her, Riteish said: “After Bharat maa, Geeta is the next mother in the country that has maximum children.”

Kapur was overwhelmed by the response from fans.

“It’s very touching when the audience and fans come up to me with so much of love. I am sure soon I will become grandmother to their children,” she said in a statement.

The show also sees choreographer Ashley Lobo as the third judge.

The music launch of “Yamla Pagla Deewana 2″ Tuesday was a starry affair, with Bollywood celebrities including Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Hritik Roshan, Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Genelia D’Souza, Rakesh Roshan, Kunal Kohli, and Juhi Chawla making the occasion extra special with their presence.

In lighter vein, Dharmendra said: “I have always wanted to say this and today everyone is there including the media. I want to say that I am the no. 1 dancer. My son Sunny has planned a special song for me, ‘Main aida hi nachna’.”

Dharmendra was very thankful to the film industry for always being there to support him.

“I am so happy for the love and respect which they give me. They all meet me so nicely.

“Today, whatever I am is because of their love. I wish them all the best and a long life. They should have good films and success should come to them,” said the veteran actor.

Directed by Sangeeth Sivan, “Yamla Pagla Deewana 2″ stars Dharmendra, Bobby Deol, Sunny Deol, Neha Sharma, Kristina Akheeva. The film is all set to release June 7.

A special project to mark 100 years of Indian cinema, the anthology film “Bombay Talkies” brings on the screen four different stories put together by directors Zoya Akhtar, Karan Johar, Anurag Kashyap and Dibaker Banerjee, respectively.

There was a special screening of the film Monday before its commercial release Friday and it seems to have appealed to the celebrity audience.

The celebs took to Twitter to praise the movie. Here is what they have to say:

Ayushmann Khurrana: Finally saw ‘Bombay Talkies’. (I) felt very big while being a very small part of Indian cinema.

The actor’s oh-so-soft side was revealed in the song Dil mein baji guitar from the movie Apna Sapna Money Money. Who can forget that chart buster number.

Govinda:

Aunty No. 1 saw the funny Govinda turn into a sexy Aunty, hence proving the film’s title right, ‘Aunty No. 1.’

Kamal Hassan:

Who can forget the hot Chachi played by none other than Kamal Haasan in Chachi 420? Well, he grabbed accolades for the endearing character.

Amitabh Bachchan:

Remember the hit song ‘Mere Angene Mein, Tumhara Kya Kaam Ha’, from the movie Lawaaris? One of the main reasons why the song was a huge rage was because of Amitabh’s performance in a lady’s wear.

Other stars including Mugdha Godse, filmmaker Ekta Kapoor, Tusshar Kapoor, R Madhavan, and many others were also spotted at the do.

Kangna has recently stated that she would want 2013 to be extremely lucky for her. “I have not had a single release last year but this year till my next birthday I will be having six films including Sanjay Gupta’s film, Sai Kabir’s next, Queens, my film with Sunny Deol and Hrithik Roshan’s superhero next,” she said.

Akshay Kumar reprises his role in Housefull this time as a cool nerd. The sequel to the hit 2007 Housefull, the second part is even funnier and has better laughs. Probably one of the finest sequels, Housefull 2 also boasted of a much talented star cast than the previous one.

Dabangg 2

Salman Khan was back on the big screen as Chulbul Pandey once again. Dabangg 2 which release in December smashed all the records of the prequel. Also, it’s the highest grossing sequel in the history of Indian cinema. The cast was exactly the same except of Prakash Raj stepping into Sonu Sood’s shoes as the villain this time.

Jism 2

Jism which released in 2000 starred John Abraham and Bipasha Basu. The film was a career changing one for both the actors. Jism 2 stars Indo-Canadian porn star Sunny Leone and Randeep Hooda. Sunny’s acting wasn’t that great except of her skin show and Randeep was good. The movie was declared a hit at the Box Office.

Raaz 3

Vikram Bhatt returned back to direct Raaaz 3 after the first part. With his experience in the horror genre, people were expecting this one to be filled with spooks. The film lived up to the expectations and was a blockbuster within the first week of it’s release.

Kyaa Super Kool Hai Hum

Kya Super Kool Hai Hum is the sequel of Kya Kool Hai Hum which also features Ritesh Deshmukh and Tusshar Kapoor. The film was criticized by the critics but got rave reviews from the viewers. The movie made a good amount of profit and was declared a hit.
