Riteish Deshmukh was born on 17 December 1978 in Latur, Maharastra to ex-chief minister of Maharastra, the late Vilasrao Deshmukh. Before venturing into acting Riteish practiced architecture.
He made his debut as an actor in 2003 with Tujhe Meri Kasam opposite Genelia D’Souza. He next appeared in low grossing movies like Out of Control, Masti, Bardaasht and Naach. His breakthrough was with Kya Kool Hain Hum which was a moderate success at the box office. He next appeared in movies like Malamaal Weekly, Apna Sapna Money Money, Darna Zaroori Hai, Namastey London, Heyy Babyy and Dhamaal. His latest movies include Housefull, F.A.L.T.U, Double Dhamaal, Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya and Kya Super Kool Hain Hum.
Riteish Deshmukh married Genelia D’Souza after courting her for 8 years.
