Rishi Kapoor was born on 4 September 1952 to legendary actor Raj Kapoor in Mumbai. He first acted in his father film Mere Naam Joker in 1970, which earned him a National Award as Best Child Artist. After 3 years he made debut as a hero in the film Bobby with Dimple Kapadia. He is highly known for his boyish charming looks. He acted in 92 movies as a hero in the next 40 years. After that he played only supporting roles.
But he got bigger success when he played in supporting actor roles. He has played all types of roles. He played negative roles and recently he even played a gay character in the movie ‘Student of the Year’. He was awarded Filmfare Lifetime achievement award in 2008. The actor married his co-star Neetu Singh and is father of actor Ranbir Kapoor.
