Reportedly, Kareena Kapoor Khan was very content and happy being paired up with her cousin Ranbir Kapoor but now, Ranbir has opted out of the project as his dates weren’t vacant. Zoya Akhtar roped in the ‘casanova’, Ranveer Singh to fill in Ranbir’s spot. But Kareena Kapoor is now in two minds if she can be convincing enough when cast against someone who isn’t actually her brother. Come on! As if all her co-stars are her boyfriends?

Definitely Ranbir Kapoor is a very talented lad and his performances have been outstanding in all his recent flicks and his ‘bailing’ out of the project might have disappointed Kareena Kapoor. But the replacement Ranveer Singh is quite talented aswell. Kareena Kapoor had already rejected a Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Ram Leela, in which she was supposed to cast opposite Ranveer Singh. But later Deepika Padukone was chosen to do the role.

Kareena has some sort of miff with Ranveer Singh seemingly. Maybe Ranveer’s flirtatious nature is not something Kareena is comfortable with. Infact, Ranveer Singh had once declared in a TV show that he has a ‘thing’ for the hot actress. So this makes us think that Kareena wants to steer away from films with actors who try to be over-friendly with her.

According to original plans, Ranbir Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor – real life cousins, were set to do the roles and reportedly, Kareena Kapoor was very happy to do a movie with her cousin as it wouldn’t have been possible in a romantic team-up.

But our sources say that Ranbir is too committed to Anurag Kashyap;s ‘Bombay Velvet’ and also a movie which will be directed by Karan Johar, apart from his proposed biopic of Kishore Kumar by Anurag Basu.

The script and everything is all ready and so is Zoya. And Zoya is in no mood to wait for the combined dates of the two top stars nor does she plan to delay her project. Looks like Ranveer Singh will be bagging another big role.

Seemingly, Deepika Padukone has done just enough to confuse the fans about her love affairs so much that she could probably write a book about her romantic sagas and could occupy every inch of space in her book.

The one-time lovebirds and now matured co-stars will be flying to Dubai on May 16 for promotional events for their upcoming romantic comedy, ‘Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani’, which is being helmed by Karan Johar’s Dharma Production.

The couple will be visiting Oasis Centre to meet and greet fans that evening, with a few more promotional events lined up for the action-packed day.

Rumour has it that Deepika’s current beau Ranveer Singh might just hop in the jet to give his girl company! The last time Deepika visited Dubai was during the promotional activites of ‘Race 2′ and who else do you think happened to pop in for the night other than Ranveer Singh himself!

The couple was also spotted at a popular nightclub in the Emirates the next evening, getting cozy and sharing a laugh.

Whereas, Padukone has always maintained that she’s single, the diva has also been heard saying that Ranveer Singh is her really good friend and he makes her feel the most important person in the world.

It was a star studded affair at the screening of Bombay Talkies, with prominent Bollywood biggies, including veteran writer Javed Akhtar and filmmaker Anurag Kashyap were in full attendance.

Held at the Light Box in Santacruz, Mumbai, the event also saw celebrities like Ranveer Singh, Randeep Hooda, Gauri Shinde, Punit Malhotra, Varun Dhawan, Sonam Kapoor, Ritesh Sidwani and Kalki Koechlin.

Directed by four directors, Zoya Akhtar, Karan Johar, Anurag Kashyap and Dibaker Banerjee, Bombay Talkies is a compilation of four short films, with Rani Mukherjee doing Karan’s part, Katrina kaif has been roped in for Zoya’s story, Superstar Amitabh Bachchan will be playing himself in Anurag Kashyap’s short story and Dibaker Banerjee’s story will see Ranbir Kapoor, who appears in every frame of the movie.

20 singers have come together to lend their voices for the anthem of the movie and has been choreographed by Vaibhavi Merchant. The music in this movie is given by Amit Trivedi and Lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya & Swanand Kirkire. Bombay Talkies releases on May 3.
