Race 2 is directed by Abbas-Mustan and is the first major release of 2013. It is the sequel to the 2008 hit film, Race, and stars an ensemble cast that includes Anil Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, Jacqueline Fernandez and Ameesha Patel. Ranveer (Saif Ali Khan) becomes extremely heartbroken and dejected after his girl-friend Sonia is killed. Ranveer, now wants to avenge the death of of Sonia for which Ranveer starts tracking the killer with the help of some Vital clues. In the process he meets Armaan(John Abraham) and his fiance Omisha(Jaqueline Fernandez) in Turkey. While Ranveer investigates the cause of his girl’s death he comes through some vital revelations. Rest of the movie is about how Ranveer finally avenges the death of Sonia by overcoming the betrayal that resides in every corner.
