Priyanka Chopra

Priyanka Chopra was born on 18th July 1982 in Jamshedpur. Before starting her career in Bollywood, she was a successful model. She was crowned Miss India and Miss World in 2000. Apart for her career as an actress, she is also a singer and a song writer.

Priyanka Chopra made her acting debut in 2002 with a Tamil movie Thamizhan. The same year she made her Bollywood debut with The Hero and later acted in Aitraaz, where she brilliantly portrayed the role of a sexy seductress. Her performance received rave reviews. Priyanka’s next big movie was Fashion in 2008 for which she won her first Filmfare Award for Best Actress. She was later seen in movies like Love Story 2050, God Tussi Great Ho, Chamku, all of which failed miserably at the box office.

In 2012 Priyanka was cast alongside Hritik Roshan, for Agneepath, a remake of a classic 1990 movie. Agneepath was a commercial hit and crossed 193 crore worldwide, and was later screened at the International Film Festival of Marrakech. Her next role as an autistic woman in Barfi! Her performance in Barfi! got her nominated for Filmfare Award for Best Actress.

Priyanka made her debut as a song writer and singer in September 2012 with her first single album In My City featuring rap artist, Will. I. Am. The album was a commercial success. As of 2013 Priyanka has appeared in over 45 movies and has won 3 Filmfare awards and 1 National award.
