“In addition to murky ownership patterns and allegations of owner-punter nexus, there have also been a lot of questions regarding the equation between Preity and Ness,” said Delhi Police Commissioner, Neeraj Kumar. “Why did they break-up? Do they still have feelings for each other? How can they continue to jointly manage their franchise while not seeing eye to eye? Is that affecting the morale of the players? So, in public interest, which in this case is considerable, we decided to summon them as well for questioning.”

The BCCI has told the Delhi Police that they will be co-operating fully in investigating the matter.“We have a vested interest in that we want franchise co-owners to be on amicable terms with each other. Amid mounting troubles on other fronts, that’s one headache we can do without,” BCCI President, Jagmohan Dalmiya has told The UnReal Times.

Ness Wadia and Preity Zinty were questioned separately for over 12 hours. Ness Wadia had said initially that he had gotten over Preity and has moved on but later broke down and also confessed to have some feelings for the beautiful actress.  “It’s a good beginning, but we have more ground to cover. What led to issues between the couple? What was the tipping point? Who was more at fault? These are complex matters of the heart and we request the public to be patient as we unravel this complex Mills & Boon romance gone sour,” Neeraj Kumar told the press.

Reportedly, Preity has been mum about the issue. “She’s been very glum and refuses to present her version of the story. The only information we have managed to extract from her so far is that her starring in and producing that lousy movie ‘Ishkq in Paris’ was her way of getting back at Ness,” revealed a Delhi Police sleuth.

The Delhi Police have the permission to extend their custody and a lot of questions are supposed to be answered as they are looking to solve the whole case of their relationship!

The Delhi Police are also planning to bring the couple face-to-face,  “We hope to tie up loose ends after they confront each other and reconcile the conflicting narratives of their relationship. Who knows, they might even get back together at the end of it and that is one type of match-fixing we will heartily endorse,” Neeraj Kumar noted with a half-smile on his otherwise serious face.

Although the date is not April 1st, we love to play a prank or two!

Director: Prem Raj

Plot: Ishkq in Paris is about Ishkq (Preity Zinta) and Akash Kapoor (Rhehan Malliek), two individuals who are afraid of ‘marriage’ and try to keep away from commitments. They meet in a train to Paris as strangers and decide to spend a night together without sharing personal details and also decide that they would never meet again after this night. And they go around the beautiful city of love, dancing, drinking and having fun! By the end of the night, they share their personal lives and Akash goes back. He visits Paris again for his friend’s wedding and the story starts here. The background part of the movie surrounds Preity’s mother’s tragic separation from her husband and how she suffers being alone though she’s a famous French actress. The end is about how Akash changes Ishkq’s life by making her realise that acceptance of other people in her life will help her get over the tragic memories of her mom and dad.

Performance: Preity Zinta’s comeback to the industry with this movie is sort of average. We’ve seen her exceptional acting skills before which was nowhere to found in this movie. The newcomer (Rhehan Malliek) also did a pretty average job. His dialogues were very cheesy but the movie was meant to be like that, you know, like the ‘cute romantic love story’.

Technical aspect:
The story is predictable and boring. The music is okay, not that amazing at all. Most of the dialogues are uber-romantic and a few of them are quite witty. It’s just a 96 minute flick which, for me, was the best part of my experience in Ishkq In Paris.

Rating: 2/5.

Bottom-line: Predictable, boring but if you want to see Miss Zinta, go for it. If you don’t want to go for it, you can catch our walkthrough of the movie here!

4:28 PM: Akash decides to talk to Ishkq’s mother about Ishkq’s ‘akelapan issues’ and her mother successfully makes her daughter understand! Yay! Now the couple shall re-unite. I guess. Unless there’s another problem in Ishkq’s life.

4:18 PM: Ishkq (Preity Zinta) continues her ‘missing and dissing’ act on her dad every now and then in the movie. The movie keeps shifting emotional gears from love to sorrow, from comedy to seriousness.

3:55 PM: WOW! Preity ZInta appears in traditional wear for the first time in the movie. Drop Dead Gorgeous! And as expected the two actors have met again and looks like the second song is going to start!

3:41 PM: Intermission!! The movie looks okay till now. The two actors have parted ways and like every other love story, they shall meet in the second half! Lets’s hope it gets a little more better.

3:24 M: Akash Kapoor has actually improved as the movies moves ahead. And with all the giggles, rom-com dialogues throughout, looks like we’re heading towards a ‘cute’ love story.

3:11 PM:  The first sight of Eiffel tower. Lit up and lights up Akash’s face. Now we’re to crazy night life of Paris!

3:06 PM: The chemistry looks dull. The dialogues have been cheesy as of yet. I hope it turns out to be a good movie. Or else this would be my last movie alive.

3:02 PM: Akash Kapoor is apparently the hero’s name. Looks good. Let’s see if he matches up Ms. Zinta

3:01 PM: Holy….!!! Preity Zinta makes her entrance and I sit here stunned. Age is just a number, eh?

3:00 PM: Paris the City of Love. The movie starts showing exactly what the city is about. Brilliant camerawork!

“If ‘CSI’ is remade in India – the real thing, I want to be a part of it. I have studied criminal psychology,” Preity said in a statement.

The actress, who portrayed strong female characters in “Kya Kehna” and “Sangharsh”, shared her thoughts about increasing crimes against women on BIG CBS PRIME’s “Super Crime Sundays”.

This Sunday, a two-hour special of the show focuses on the increasing number of crimes committed against women through special episodes of the investigative show, “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation”.

Preity believes it is important for everyone to make an effort to spread out the message and stop the increasing violence.

The film is a romantic comedy and will be her first movie since Main Aurr Mrs Khanna, in which she did a cameo. Preity Zinta has been missing from the big screen for about 4 years now and there seems to be no loss of her fan following! Obvious as it may seem, Preity Zinta has pinned her hopes high for Ishkq in Paris.

Since this film could be called her comeback film, everybody had anticipated that she would cast herself opposite one of Bollywood’s leading men. But, she sprung up a surprise by casting Rhehan Malliek! When a reporter asked her about this decision, she said, “See, even Shahrukh, Aamir, Salman have cast new actresses, so why can’t I do that? You first get me a cut (interview) of Salman, Shahrukh and Aamir that why did they cast Sonakshi, Deepika and Asin. After they answer, I will watch it, and then answer your question.”

Since this movie will decide her future in the Bollywood industry, she is leaving no stone unturned to promote it! In fact, Preity Zinta is so aggressive in promoting the film that, she reportedly entered into a heated argument with airline staff at the Ahmedabad airport after she missed a flight for being late. Preity was upset and apparently, turned angry when the airline staff didn’t relent. She had to be elsewhere for another promotional event. What a bad way to promote a film that starts with “Ishkq” !

“The toughest part was crisis-management. Production, of course, is a thankless job,” she said at a promotional event of the film.

“What happens is that everybody’s problem is your problem. As an actor, you are used to isolating yourself. When you are on set, you just focus on your role and the rest doesn’t matter,” she added.

Preity said that whenever she tried to take some time for herself, someone or the other would come to her with a problem or more.

“That time I was like, ‘God, why is it happening with me?’ But having said that, I like to multi-task and at the end of the day, I feel if you have taken on a certain responsibility, you should shoulder it,” she said.

Meanwhile, Preity, who also plays the main lead in the film, says the film is very contemporary and identifiable.

“‘Ishkq in Paris’ is an identifiable film. It does not challenge your intelligence. It is coming out in 2013 and has the persona of today’s people,” she said.

Directed by Prem Raj, “Ishkq in Paris” features debutant Rhehan Malliek opposite Preity. It releases Friday.

Currently busy promoting her first production venture “Ishkq in Paris”, Preity said: “Off late, I have been thinking that I will join politics because it’s so sad what is happening to our country.”

“I really want to be somehow involved in positively changing our country… One fine day (I) am going to come out and say vote for me,” she said on “Star Speak” on UTV Stars.

She has even made an imaginary picture of Priety Zinta, the politician.

She said: “I will be a very glamorous politician. I will have nice hair, nice clothes, and I will not be corrupt. But I think it’s important we start thinking about our country also because it’s really sad what is happening to our country. How much do you genuinely need to eat? ‘Khaane ke liye aap biscuit hi khaate ho, gold biscuit to nahi khaate ho’. So, survival is limited to one point. How much more do you want?”

Having said that, she hopes that “people like me don’t have to get into a political future, because there are good people. There are lots of good politicians. Don’t get me wrong, but they are eclipsed by all the corruption. And the only way to make India shine is if all this stops. Because who is the one that suffers…it is always the man on the street and that breaks my heart.”

The 38-year-old actress is also the co-owner of the Indian Premier League (IPL) team King’s XI Punjab.

The show will be aired Monday.
