A source says, “Priyanka was excited to go to Delhi. She was all set to attend the ceremony but due to some work commitments, she had to cancel her visit.”

The source adds, “Priyanka, however, ensured that her mother went instead to give Parineeti the emotional support.”

The previous year, Priyanka had thrown a party a celebrate the success of Ishaqzaade, for which Parineeti ended up winning the National Award.

The event was on Friday and Parineeti celebrated over the weekend in Delhi with friends and family.
Reportedly, she said, “Not only my aunt (Madhu), about 14 relatives came for the function and were whistling, cheering for me even though it was supposed to be a sombre ceremony. We later had a party for 70 other family members. We were all singing, eating and laughing.”

“Everyone was excited to meet each other after such a long time.” So finally, it turned out to be a big, boisterous Punjabi re-union party, even without Priyanka Chopra, “  she added.

Presently, Priyanka Chopra has been shooting for her new film, Zanjeer under the banner Reliance Entertainment. And she will be seen in an item number called ‘Pinky’.

“There have been a lot of rumours that I am losing weight for Hasee Toh Phasee, but that’s not true. I will just try and lose as much as I can, so I can look as good as I can in my next film”, says the 24-year old actress-next-door.

“I was anyway planning to lose weight because for Ladies vs Ricky Bahl, I had to be a little chubby and then of course, I started losing for Ishaqzaade. But I want to look a little better, so I decided to lose weight anyway,” she added.

Parineeti Chopra, who was appreciation for her spontaneity in her last two films, said: “I know there are a few actresses who are very comfortable with their and would like to only concentrate on acting, I would like to do both.” Chopra admitted that she never thought she would be awared for her first film after receiving a Special Mention at the 60th National Film Awards.

When asked about the similarity she shares with Kajol and Rani Mukherjee, she says, “Well, both Kajol and Rani [Mukerji] are extremely spontaneous actors and more instinctive than rehearsed, so on that front yes, I am similar. In fact, they both are my absolute favourites.”
What about wearing a bikini? “Yeah, if one day I have the body for it, I will” she said.

She has also recently said that she does not only want to be addressed as Priyanka Chopra’s relative.

Scheduled for release in Januaury next year, shooting for Hasee Toh Phasee has begun. It has Siddharth Malhotra in the male lead.

According to sources, “Parineeti, was the one who recommended Priyanka for the lead role in the production house’s next, Gunday, opposite Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh.” The source added, “Parineeti is like the baby at YRF. Everyone there loves her and she’s like family. She has worked there even before YRF launched her in Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl (2011).”

This didn’t go down well with the former Miss World, considering the fact that she is already a big star in Bollywood and that she needs no recommendation for films.

The source explains further, “When they began searching for the female lead in Gunday, a lot of discussions took place at the YRF office. They wanted a girl who could pull off a tough role with a lot of ease. That’s when Parineeti stepped in and suggested that they should consider Priyanka for the role.”

Adds the source, “When Parineeti suggested Priyanka’s name, there was no second thought. In fact, everyone at YRF was happy that Priyanka was selected as she suits the role perfectly. They were also glad that Parineeti suggested it.”

However, another source rubbished these rumors calling them baseless and said, a popular actress like PC doesn’t need to depend on any recommendation.

The music for the movie has been given by Vishal and Shekhar. The  movie is directed by Sonam Nair. Incidentally, Gippi is the first kids film to be produced by Karan.

Bollywood’s most eligible bachelor, Salman Khan is being pressurized by the whole nation to tie the knot. But our dude is very happy with his single status and is in no hurry to get married. As of now, marriage is no where in the actor’s priority list.

Recently, the Dabangg star had revealed that he would love to have babies without getting married. This is what he said in his own words: “I don’t know about marriage, but if there is any way to have kids without getting married, I am interested in that. I am still trying to find a way to do that.”

Well, its not alone Sallu Bhai who is against marriage. Many Bollywood stars feel the same. Kareena Kapoor, who is now the Begum of Pataudi, decided to enter the holy matrimony with Saif only after a long and detailed deliberation. In fact, marriage is just a piece of paper (legal) to Bebo. During her courtship days with the Khan, Kareena had said, “It’s no big deal, really. We both have managed it for the past five years, and hopefully we’ll manage it for the next 25 also.”

Marriage has lost its meaning in today’s generation. Unlike the olden days, one doesn’t really need a marriage certificate to cohabit. Parineeti Chopra says, “I’m totally cool with live-in relationships. If you are in a relationship it is normal to meet your partner when the day ends. If you’re tired, you’ll end up sleeping in his house and return to yours in the morning. Even if you do that three or four times a week – that for me is a live-in relationship.”

Apparently, most people have a wrong perception on celebrities signing the marriage certificate. “Once you’re married, you’re filmy career is doomed”, that’s what’s perceived in B-town. Reacting to such statements, Bebo said on the opening day of FICCI Frames 2013, “If a girl loves someone or gets married, it doesn’t mean that people will not love her or her character onscreen. These (films and marriage) are two different aspects and we should not try and club them. Anyway, falling in love or getting married is not a crime!”

Barfi is the story about Ranbir Kapoor who is deaf and mute falls in love with a mentally handicapped Priyanka Chopra. Barfi not only won lot of acclaims from the critics but also grossed over 100 crores at the box-office.
However, Priyanka Chopra is very happy about her cousin Parineeti Chopra who won the special mention award for her role in “Ishaqzaade.”

“I am happy for her. Now, in the Chopra family, there are two national awards. The whole day I had to explain what special mention means!” said Priyanka.

Priyanka Chopra won a National Ward for her sensational performance in the movie “Fashion”.

National Film awards have yet again proved that they are completely different from other popular awards and give the accolades only to the people who deserve.
