Omi Vaidya was born on January 10, 1982 in California, USA. He was always drawn towards films so he joined a course in NY University. After graduating from there he worked in many English TV serials as an actor and editor. He also directed 2 short films. On a vacation to Mumbai, he auditioned for role in 3 Idiots and got it. He won 4 awards for that performance in 3 Idiots. He then starred in Dil Toh Bacha Hai Ji which also good reviews for his role. He then appeared in 3 films but those roles were not substantial.
