Neil Nitin Mukesh was born on 15 January 1982 in Mumbai. Coming from a Bollywood family of singers, as a child Neil Nitin Mukesh appeared in movies like Vijay and Jaisi Karni Waisi Bharnii.
He attended Kishore Namit Kapoor’s acting Institute an made his debut in Bollywood as the lead actor with Johnny Gaddaar, receiving positive reviews from critics and also being nominated at the Filmfare for Best Male Debut. He next appeared in Aa Dekhen Zara alongside Bipasha Basu but his major breakthrough was in New York which earned him his first Filmfare as the Best Supporting Actor. His next movie Jail, though failed miserably at the box office, got Neil rave reviews. He went on and portrayed off-beat roles in movies like Lafangey Parindey, 7 Khoon Maaf, Players and David.
As of 2013, Neil is working on five movies, 3G, Shortcut Romeo, Ishqeria, Rum Pum Posshh and Dussehra.
