Nawazuddin Siddiqui was born on may 19th May, 1974 in Muzaffarnagar District, Uttar Pradesh. He was one of the ten children, their farmer father had. He graduated in Science and was working as a chemist in a petro-chemical shop. Soon, he moved to Delhi, where he watched a lot of plays and enrolled in National School of Drama. He was working as an office watchman to fund for his daily needs. After being graduated from there, he moved to Mumbai to start his film career.
He debuted in Aamir khan starrer Sarfarosh in 1999. From then on he acted in small plays and conducted acting workshops. The big break he got was in Anurag Kashyap’s Black Friday. Everyone appreciated the role very much, but yet again he failed to land a suitable role. He enjoyed mainstream success in the year 2012, where he was a part of 4 critically, super hit movies like Kahaani, Gang of Wasseypur (part 1 and 2) and Talaash which won many awards and nominations for them. He won Filmfare in best actor in supporting role. The biggest definitive turn in his career took place when his solo lead movie Pataang was showcased at Cannes film festival and won many critical acclaim. Great movie critic Roger Ebert praised his acting very much and gave the film 4 stars. He was last seen in a lead role alongside Bipasha Basu in horror flick ‘Aatma’.
