Mugdha Godse was born on 26 July 1986 in Pune, Maharastra. In 2002, Mugdha participated in the Gladrags Mega Model Hunt and won the competition. She later took part in Femina Miss India, in 2004, and was a semi-finalist at the competition.
Mugdha spent around five years as a model appearing in commercials, music videos and walking the ramp for leading designers before she got her break in Bollywood. Her debut movie was Madhur Bhandarkar’s Fashion in 2008, alongside Priyanka Chopra and Kangana Ranaut. The movie was critically acclaimed and Mugdha’s performance was nominated for the Filmfare Award in the Best Female Debut category.
Post Fashion, Mugdha has appeared in over 7 movies. She was seen in movies like All the Best: Fun Begins, Jail, Help, Gali Gali Mai Chor Hai, Will You Marry Me? and Heroine. As of 2013, she is working on two other films: Afra Tafri and Oh God! Saare Hain Fraud.
