Manoj Bajpayee

Manoj Bajpai was born on 23 April 1969 in a small village of Bihar on border of Nepal called Belwa. Manoj Bajpai started his career with a TV serial, Swaabhimaan, aired on Doordarshan.

He made his Bollywood debut in Bandit Queen and appeared as a cop in Dastak in 1996. Manoj got his major break in Satya, 1998 where he portrayed the role of Bhiku Mhatre, a prisoner accused of murdering a film producer. This intense performance of a compassionate gangster got him his first Filmfare Award for Best Actor Critics Choice. He has portrayed many unconventional characters and has done true justice to the characters. Some of his best performances were in movies like Shool, Zubeida, Pinjar, Veer Zaara, Rajneeti and Gangs of Wasseypur.

Manoj Bajpai is married to Shabana Raza and they have a daughter together.
