Her reason for doing a television show: As a single woman, money is important but this is not the only reason why I am doing the show!

On how Mallika plans to educate people with her show: Woman should have the right to choose their life partners as it has been happening since the Ramayan and Mahabharat time. I have read so many reports where girls get married at a very young age. So in a way I hope I can manage to remind people about the right to choose their life partner with my show.

On her shifting to LA: I have not moved from India. I don’t know why there is this misconception that I have moved to Los Angeles. I visit the US only for work and to socialise.

When Mallika was asked about her crushes: I am a normal woman and I too have my crushes. I fainted after seeing Bill Clinton. I still find Barack Obama very handsome. My man should have the qualities which Obama has. I prefer men who take risks in life and especially the ones who are not afraid to speak their mind.

On Sanjay Dutt: I have had a great experience working with Sanjay Dutt. He is a very helpful and caring person. I hope he finds strength in this hour of need.

On the recent five-year-old rape case: It is devastating… on the day of Ram Navami such a heinous crime took place. I think it is not Ram Rajya but Raavan Rajya. As a woman myself, I have never felt so insecure and helpless in this country.

This on-screen couple made one of the most sizzling jodis in 2004 with the release of Murder. But, did you know, they were at loggerheads ever since then? Well, the Murder couple had vowed not to work with each other ever since Emraan claimed that Mallika was not a good kisser. The spat turned uglier when Mallika retaliated saying she would rather kiss a snake than Emraan. Hahahha! Now that was quite an insult!

Apparently, Mallika’s statement hit Emraan really hard and the serial kisser once again opened the chapter by saying, Mallika should act with a snake only in the sequel to her 2010 dud Hisss. In the movie Hisss Mallika played a snake-woman.

While Kareena said she would never want to work with John Abraham (Bips boyfriend, back then) because she found his face “expressionless”, Bipasha replied on the same show saying “Kareena Kapoor has too many expressions on her face.”

Mallika said: “That’s true. Jackie Chan is the one who instilled such kind of confidence in me. He is the guy responsible for making me travel to Hollywood and keep working so far away from him. Also, he has the kind of forward thinking attitude which is infectious. In fact I met him at Cannes a few months back and it was great connecting all over again. Now I am all the more sure that I like competing with the rest of the world. As an actor it is important to challenge myself.”

While she is referring to competition with rest of the world, one wonders what’s happening on the Sonu Sood starrer LUCKY UNLUCKY where she was supposed to be playing a Jatt athlete.

“Well, I have just read the script and I really love it. I like the director and the sensibility where he is coming from. However beyond that I don’t know what’s happening on the film. I am waiting for the makers to come back on that,” added the bomb shell.

Mallika is certainly keeping herself busy with all her global engagements. While she isn’t very popular in Bollywood, she is certainly loving all the attention back in L.A.
