Malaika Arora Khan is an Indian Actress, Dancer, VJ, Model and Television Presenter. We could say that she is one of India’s leading Item Girls.
The Mumbai born Model, was selected as one of MTVs VJs when MTV India had started. She became the most popular female anchor in India. After this stint, Malaika entered the Modelling industry. Her success was high here as well. She did many advertisements, cameos and item songs. The song Chaiyya Chaiyya in the film Dil Se is still remembered for her dance moves.
Since 2005, she has been seen in many item numbers most of which are still remembered only for her – Kaal Dhamaal in Kaal, Ratraiana Naku OK in Athidhi, the title song of Heyy Babyy, an appearance in a song in Om Shanthi Om, Hoth Rasiley in Welcome and Anarkali Disco Chali in Housefull 2. In 2010, Malaika featured in the item song Munni Badnaam Hui in the film Dabangg choreographed by Farah Khan. The song became a superhit and was hailed as one of the most popular songs of the year.
Malaika has had a long stint on the television as well. She has judged Nach Baliye Season 1 & 2. Aso, she was had judged the shows Zara Nachke Dikha and Jhalak Dikhla Jaa. She is also on the judge’s pane in the show India’s Got Talent. Khan is married to Bollywood actor-director-producer, Arbaaz Khan, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s brother. They have a son Arhaan. Actress Amrita Arora is Malaika’s sister.
