“Invisible” is the film that Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt’s most successful protege Emraan Hashmi will star in, thereby ending media speculation that the actor has been in two minds about doing a project for the banner that kickstarted his career.

While Mahesh Bhatt, with typical insouciance, dismisses the unsavoury rumours and confirms their new collaboration is titled “Invisible”, a source close to the project sniggers, “We really don’t who stands to gain from these reports about Emraan being ‘miffed’ with Bhatt sahab because of announcements suggesting the star is doing another film with the Bhatts.”

“Emraan shares the kind of rapport with Mahesh Bhatt where Bhatt sahab only has to ask, and Emraan would do the film. But the Bhatts have never believed in mixing professional and personal relations. If they did, they would’ve launched Bhatt sahab’s son Rahul long ago. Every actor who works with Vishesh Films is free to choose the projects he or she wants. And that goes for Emraan as well,” the source added.

Confirming that the project with his nephew Emraan is titled “Invisible”, Mahesh Bhatt said: “Emraan is in New York. I spoke to him just an hour ago and he ceartinly didn’t sound even remotely miffed. Our relationship is not built on quicksand.”

About “Invisible”, the filmmaker said: “Emraan is starring in our next mega-project entitled ‘Invisible’, which Vikram Bhatt will direct. It’s an original story written by Shagufta Rafique and Vikram Bhatt.”

Vikram, who is unwell, said: ” ‘Invisible’ would be an entirely new optical and emotional experience for the audience.”

Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap might have not made movies like “Dev D” and “Gangs Of Wasseypur” if it hadn’t been for Mahesh Bhatt.

Kashyap, 40, had given up on becoming part of Bollywood and decided to quit, but Bhatt gave him Rs.10,000 for his expenses and encouraged him to continue his work.

“It was director Mahesh Bhatt who dragged me back in the film industry when I had given up on everything and left. Even after coming back, I worked for six months and tried to quit,” said Kashyap whose “Friday” got him recognition as a director.

“Despite all this, when I was leaving, Mahesh Bhatt stopped me from going. I didn’t have money and he gave me Rs.10,000 for my expenses. I had a lot of self-respect and ego, but no money. All this was before the success of the film ‘Satya’,” added the filmmaker who co-scripted “Satya”.

The filmmaker will be seen sharing much more about his experiences in the film industry on UTV Stars’ show “Ye Hai Meri Kahaani”.

The show will be aired May 12.

Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt says a film works at the office only if a director is able to translate a writer’s vision on the screen. He feels stars can add to that.

“We confuse ourselves by thinking that stars have the power to deliver blockbusters. No. If the story doesn’t work, if the director does not translate the vision that is embedded in the story with the adornments that the film needs, there are no chances of it coming to anywhere close to success,” said Bhatt, known for directing films like “Arth”, “Saaransh”, “Zakhm” and “Naam”, which were high on content.

Bhatt, known for launching new talent under his banner Vishesh Films, has this time roped in relative newcomers Aditya Roy Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor for “Aashiqui 2″.

Directed by Mohit Suri, the Rs.12 crore romantic-musical saga grossed over Rs.20 crore during its opening weekend.

The filmmaker, who was speaking at the success party of “Aashiqui 2″ here Tuesday, gives credit to writer Shagufta Rafique and the entire team for the success.

“What made the film work was the magic that came out from Shagufta’s heart. Shagufta has a very unusual background. She is the salt of the earth and pulled the narrative from her heart,” the 65-year-old said.

“The way she narrated the story to us, we knew it had the throb and love of life,” added Bhatt who has also produced films like of “Gangster – A Love Story”, “Murder” and “Woh Lamhe”.

“So first it was there, pulled out of the heart, then Mohit came and added a dimension to it, gave it a soul with the music and the singers, and actors gave life to it,” he added.

Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt is very happy with the fact that Aashiqui 2 did very good at the box office and hints that the third and fourth part of the film can follow up, saying love stories don’t have an end.

Bhatt directed the 1990 hit romantic film Aashiqui. The film, starring Rahul Roy and Anu Agarwal, was a huge success, mainly because of the romance and the music.

Aashiqui 2 has been directed by Mohit Suri and co-produced by Bhatts’ production house Vishesh Films. It released last Friday, has reportedly earned over Rs 24.50 crore in box office collection till now.

“Love stories don’t have an ending… they continue to go ahead. So we can have Aashiqui 3 and 4 and even more. There is no full stop to that,” Mahesh Bhatt said at the success party of the film.

“The film has achieved tremendous success and we are happy about it. This shows films with ‘A and U’ certificate can do well provided the story is good,” he said.

Aashiqui 2 starred newcomers Aditya Roy Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead roles.

Aditya described the film as a life-changing experience for him. “I thank everyone (makers) for having faith and trust in me and Shraddha. It (the film) is a life-changing experience for me,” he said.

Mohit Suri also said that he loves the fact that people are liking his film while the makers are planning to add one more song to the movie.

When news of Kasab’s hanging and burial in Pune reached the citizens of India, its stars choose to express their opinions about the execution on their twitter feeds. Some choose to simply rejoice while others tweeted their condolences for the families affected in 26/11 blast. Here’s a bunch of tweets from Bollywood Celebs.

Abhishek Bachchan: Man who should be honoured today: the one who captured Kasab: Asst Sub Inspector Tukaram Omble

Mahesh Bhatt: A life for so many lives! You kill and violate the sanctity of life then your life should be taken & in the same manner as the life you took.

Celina Jaitley: Well done Govt. Of India however, the source of the ideology of the fanatics who turn young men into terrorists is still alive. Today R Veer Shaheed & the victims of 26/11′s horrendous acts of terrorism will finally Rest In Peace.. Kasab u & ur mates will burn in hell

Riteish Deshmukh: #kasab hanging – congratulations govt of India – for doing it so effectively. For once the govt broke the news n not the news channels.

Siddharth: The death penalty scares me no end…having said that, Ajmal Kasab needed to die. He’s going to realize that the whole heaven thing…was a lie.

Shreya Ghoshal: Kasab, the lone surviving 26/11 terrorist, hanged at 7.30AM at Yervada Jail in Pune: Senior state government official.” Finally!

Randeep Hooda: Kasab hanged at 730 am at yerwada jail. About time. Jai Hind!!!!

Aftab Shivdasani: Finally Kasab hangs… Prayers for 26/11 victims and their families

Tanuj Garg: Ajmal Kasab’s hanging is only the beginning. He was but a foot soldier. What about the masterminds roaming free in a neighboring country?

Suresh Menon: Can we get some tax relief now that the govt doesn’t have to spend so much on Kasab’s security!

Kunal Kohli: Now that Kasab has been executed, can we also get his handlers & the planners who attacked my city? We need them executed too. Kasab has been hanged! Finally, God forbid there’s a next time we need to hang/execute such terrorists faster.

Vishal Dadlani: Kasab was just an errand-boy with a gun. India is thrilled with his death, but the real culprits must be laughing at our sheer gullibility!

Ken Ghosh: Kasab is now facing the highest of all courts! Sentences meted out here are for all eternity

Kailash Kher: Finally Kasab Got Hanged, Justice implemented in India, the world Believed our Law. Our People will be glad n in trust with governance.

Madhur Bhandarkar : #Kasab’s execution is a victory not only for the mumbaiker who suffered at the hands of terror, but the entire nation.

Farah Khan: Kasab finally hangs. A day of vindication 4 d people who lost their loved ones 26/11. May terrorists all over know that their fates r sealed
