Konkana Sen Sharma was born on 3, Dec 1979. She is daughter of Aparna Sen, actress and filmmaker and Mukul Sharma, a journalist. She is considered to be queen of arthouse cinema. She debuted as a child artist. She played a heroine for the first time in ‘Ek Je Aachhe Kanya’ in Bengali, for which she was critically applauded. Her big break came with the movie Mr. and Mrs Iyer for which she won a national award. After that she made her Bollywood debut with critically acclaimed film Page 3.
Since then she has acted in offbeat films like Omkara, Life in a Metro (both of the films got her filmfare awards) and commercially hit movies like Wake up Sid and Luck By Chance. She will be seen in Balaji’s next movie Ek Thi Daayan. Konkana Sen Sharma married Ranvir Shorey after dating him for 3 years in 2010. They now have a boy Haroon Shorey.
