Released in December last year, action-comedy “Khiladi 786″ was directed by Ashish R. Mohan and Asin Thottumkal played the female lead in it.

“I don’t mind doing item songs. After ‘Balma’, which got really popular and became a super hit, I got a lot of offers for item songs and Bollywood roles. But I will do item songs once I am really convinced. It should not be less than ‘Balma’, in which I danced with Akshay,” she said here during a photo shoot.

“If I will get excited about a project…then I really won’t mind doing an item song,” she added.

Making her entry into Indian showbiz with third season of reality show “Bigg Boss”, Claudia was recently seen doing stand-up comedy in Sony TV’s show “Comedy Circus”.

In Wasseypur crime is inherited. That’s what the promos of the movie said, and by far the best Bollywood action movie ever. The story revolves power struggles, politics and vengeance between three crime families.

Once again, Akshay Kumar returns to the Khiladi franchise with this film. The action in the film was okay and copied from a lot of other movies. The film was supposed to be a blockbuster but because of the repetitive action scenes it didn’t do quite well.

The first weekend collection of Akshay Kumar’s Khiladi 786 is approximately 32 crore from India, with most of the collections coming in from single screens, Sunday saw an awesome turnout from some multiplexes in Delhi and East Punjab.

As things stand, KHILADI 786, which has quite a reasonable release cost (40-45 crore), for an Akshay Kumar starrer, is all set to be a plus fare for the makers, who are also the worldwide distributors (barring a few sub circuits), though not the big success that it was expected to be.

While still on KHILADI 786, the film has not done well in the overseas, and little chance that it will, given the genre and mountings, the film has another good week till Dec 21, as Salman Khan’s Dabangg 2 releases that day, and once it’s out Akshay’s Khiladi has no chance of doing any business.

Tenu Ki- Meri Shadi Karao

Tenu Ki is a very peppy number from the upcoming film Meri Shadi Karao. The song is a perfect clubbing song and has a lot of electro beats.

Jee Le Zara- Talaash

Jee Le Zara has still managed to keep it’s place in the top 5. Vishal Dalani’s voice adds energy to this track. It’s composed superbly and has the perfect beats to match Vishal’s voice.

Balma- Khiladi 786

Shreya Ghosal goes into seductive mode with this one, and is lovely here and Shriram complements her well during the chorus. Balma is atribute to R.D. Burman, and it doesn’t disappoint. It features Burman’s signature bongo beats and his ‘hah hah’ punctuating the beats.

Lonely somewhat sounds like Alexander Stan’s Mr.Saxobeat. The song has rap by Yo Yo Honey and, on the whole, the number has good dancing beats. The vocal inputs are good and sung by Himesh Reshammiya and Hamsika Iyer. The song is addictive, thanks to Himesh’s nasal touch as he croons “Oh bawariya”.

Khiladi Bhaiyya sounds like a new version of “Hud hud dabangg” with fresh lyrics. Even though it has good vocls it’s unable to get you out of the Dabangg mode.

A source says, “The protagonist is a character jisko koi ek kharoch bhi nahin maar sakta. In a way, he’s invincible and can do wonders, just like Rajinikanth. The only difference is that he’s from the north.”

However, the makers of the film, after having decided to rope in Akshay Kumar, decided to title the film more aptly and suitable for the actor. Hence, Khiladi 786. Says Rakesh Upadhyay, the creative producer of the movie, “The content of the film is in keeping with the hero, who is a larger-than-life character. Akshay suggested that since he’s referred to as Khiladi — given his action hero image — and also, since the number, ’786′, is written alongside the destiny lines on the hand of his character, Bhaattar Singh, Khiladi 786 would be the most appropriate title for the movie.”

Khiladi 786 is produced by Eros International, Hari Om Entertainment and HR Musik.

Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar and Asin are on a promotional spree and were recently spotted at the Westin Hotel in Gurgaon.

Both the stars showered praises over each other, besides talking about their film. Asin also admitted that she loves working with Akshay since he is really caring and positive.

Asin said while promoting the film: “I had to learn Marathi but Akshay Kumar was a great help because he speaks Marathi very fluently and all my dialogues have a Hindi accent with a little Maharashtrian touch and this is the first time I am playing such a character, an out-and-out Maharashtrian girl called Indu Tendulkar.”

“So, it was a lot of fun. I went all out for the character and hopefully it will have a good response,” she added.

Asin’s last two films Housefull 2 and Bol Bachchan were superhits and she hopes “Khiladi 786″ turns out to be even a bigger hit.

“Hopefully, keeping fingers crossed for a hat-trick. This year really has been very good for me with ‘Housefull 2′ and ‘Bol Bachchan’ doing really, really well. I hope ‘Khiladi 786′ follows and hopefully breaks the record of the last two ones and I am looking forward to that,” the 27 year old said.
