The bubbly and cute couple of Bollywood, Riteish Deshmuk and Genelia D’Souza got married after their 9 year long relationship, on 3rd February 2012, in Mumbai. The wedding was a mix of two culture’s – Christian and Maharashtrian. It was totally a star studded affair, with most B-Town celebs in attendance at the venue. Riteish and his bride looked absolutely stunning in their respective wedding attires.

They have decided that they will not pair up against each other because their chemistry falls flat. Saif says that “It’s something that happens to me when I’m working with her (Kareena Kapoor), I’m not as interesting on screen,” He further added, “I become like how I am when I am with her, which is not interesting. Normally, an actor is competitive, and that makes for good chemistry on screen. The chemistry goes a bit flat when you’re too comfortable.”

Post their wedding in October last year, the couple has been flooded with offers of doing a movie together. But Saif has now put an end to all the offers and rumours by announcing that his next project will be with Illeana.

He also mentioned that if he were to act opposite Kareena in a movie, the audience would be interested in their relationship as a real couple and not a reel couple. He says, “It’s really difficult to maintain your identity as an individual when you’re in a relationship like ours. People are constantly asking you about your relationship. You’re promoting your film and someone asks you about the relationship and that answer is made into the headline,”

Saif and Kareena appeared in movies like Kurbaan and Tashaan before and their first movie was LOC: Kargil. They were also seen together in several advertisements for Airtel and Head & Shoulders.

Post Tashan, the couple made their first public appearance at the Lakme Fashion week and in 2009 Saif was the first one to speak about marriage. In an interview with the media, Chote Nawab said that he would marry Kareena the next day if things went his way. Well from his perspective, he was financially sound, mentally stable and well settled. But Kareena had a career to take care of.

They started endorsing brands together and were just too cute. They even did movies together but their chemistry failed to impress the audience. Well, whatever nobody cares because in real life they are just the perfect Bollywood couple. The actress who was last seen in Talaash says that she has friends outside Bollywood and tries her best to keep her personal life away from her work and the media.

Kareena said: “The key is to realize that we are here to work in this industry. I’m not over-friendly with anyone, I don’t get into anyone’s personal space because I don’t want people to get into mine. I have a life outside of films.”

With the media going gaga over her marriage with Saif, the 32 year old said she prefers her acting and work to make more news than her private life.

“Some of my friends are from the industry but most of them are not. So that is a part of life that I cherish. I go to work and come back. I want to keep it like that – go to work, come home and let my work talk more than anything else,” she added.

After her marriage in October, Kareena Kapoor has been very busy shooting for brand endorsements while Saif has been shooting for Bullet Raja.

Kareena said: “Saif has been shooting for Bullet Raja and I have shot for Dabangg 2 song and promoted Talaash. I have also shot for eight brands since the wedding. We actors sign up brands then we forget that we have to give them four days each to shoot. I have been shooting every day. Work is my passion and Saif respects that.”

She was also recently seen in an item number Fevicol Se from Dabangg 2 which became a blockbuster. She says that she only agreed to the the song because Salman is a close fried of hers and they share a loving relationship.

“Salman and Karisma go back 12-16 years, they started with movies like Nishchay (1992) and I used to be on the sets. I was 8 or 9 years old then. He has that kind of love for me, as Karisma’s younger sister. He was friendly during ‘Bodyguard’ and he respects the kind of person that I am. You can see the warmth between us and that’s what I love.”

Ending the year with an Aamir-Khan starrer film, Kareena is set to begin 2013 with his nephew Imran Khan as well as Prakash Jha’s Satyagraha.

“I ended the year with Aamir, I’m going to start the year with Imran. Life’s always a full circle, I’ve got to work with both. In January I start shooting for a film with Imran Khan and then I have Satyagraha with Ajay Devgn. We start shooting for that on February 1,” said the beautiful actress.
