Kahaani follows Vidya Bagchi [Vidya Balan], who arrives in Kolkata in search of her missing husband, Arnab Bagchi [Abir Chatterjee]. Travelling in the final trimester of her pregnancy, Vidya seeks the help of Kolkata Police.
