Joker revolves around Agastya (Akshay Kumar) who works on a project that will help him to communicate with aliens. On hearing about his father’s illness he rushes back to his village, Paglaapur and is astonished by the behaviour of its inhabitants. He soon realises that he was called back on a false pretence and decides to go back to the US and work on his project. After hearing the plight of the inhabitants he changes his mind and devices a plan to get attention to this small village.
