The movie revolves around the life and times of Ishaan Sabharwal (John Abraham). Being pampered as a kid and living in a protective shell, Ishaan grows up to be an ego-centric, self-centred man. Tired of his immature nature, his girl friend, Anushka Lal (Chitrangada Singh) leaves him and from there on everything goes haywire. He is kicked out of the house and moves into a tattered apartment. His mother leaves his father and moves in with him, his best friend Nisha is upset with him and his boss Beena makes his life miserable. Amongst all this chaos, he finds love again in his next door neighbour, Gauri Dandekar (Prachi Desai). She transforms him into a man that can make his mother proud and get his girl friend back. Will Ishaan go back to Anushka? Or will he have a happily ever after with Gauri?
