She has been a star for so many years and no tantrums have ever come into picture. A source has revealed that nothing as such actually happened on the sets and that, Priyanka is a dignified actress. Well, we could certainly agree on that! She wouldn’t have got this far, had she been throwing tantrums. While Arjun was quick to give his bits to the media, co-star Ranveer was unavailable for comments.

Recollecting his old days as an assistant director, Arjun Kapoor said, “I actually know her from even before the time when I had started off as an actor. I was an assistant on Salaam-e-Ishq and used to call her by saying – Madam, shot ready hai. Till date I tell her that Madam aap aaiye naa. The only difference is that earlier only she was in front of the camera and today both of us are. I am very fond of her and love her as an actor. She has not changed at all and that is the hallmark of a true star and an actor.”

Well, we could certainly agree on that because, one cannot possibly be a star by throwing tantrums!

Looks like its not work alone but fun too for the leading cast of YRF’s movie Gunday, which is currently being shot in Kolkata.

The actors are having the time of their lives filming for the movie, which is directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. The filmmaker is also keeping the world posted on all the fun moments, on micro-blogging sites.

Letting loose all their inhibitions, the trio has been having a whale of a time, be it Priyanka Chopra and Ranveer Singh arm-wrestling or the three taking a boat ride under Howrah. Also seen are Ranveer and Arjun posing with a man guised as Lord Shiva.

Writes Ali Abbas Zafar, “For every one asking Gunday is a completely fictional set on the backdrop real events that happened between 1971-88. We will announce the release date shortly once major part of filming is over ☺”

So why the retro look?

Well, the film is ‘Gunday’ is set in 1970s and 1980s, hence the retro avatar. The story is on the lives of two small time thieves who later get involved in the coal mafia, and become the biggest and most powerful black marketing mafia-men. The director also revealed that both the lead actors will be seen as Bengali’s in the film.

Gunday will release this year.

Dressed in a sari, PC was donning a desi avatar complete with long tresses. The film, helmed by filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar, is expected to release later this year.

It is learnt that, the scene comes in the film when the hero takes his ladylove for a ride in the verdant countryside, but his jeep breaks down and she hops on a passing truck instead. Priyanka Chopra was in her character and looked cross with Arjun Kapoor who kept on staring at her without blinking his eyes.

Gunday is a romantic flick starring Arjun Kapoor and Ranvir Singh, who will be playing small time thieves in the movie. The film will hit theaters by the end of 2013.

Meanwhile, PeeCee is all set to take acting to the next level with with Mary Kom’s biopic. The actress is working hard to achieve a boxer’s body in her latest role as boxing champion Mary Kom. According to sources, Priyanka is working very hard to develop abdominal muscles to portray Mary to the hilt.

Speaking at a press conference, Priyanka said, “I do at least one film which is challenging for me every year. Mary Kom is that film for next year. If you meet her in person, you will see she is so sweet…can’t imagine her to be a boxer.”

Recently, on the sets of Gunday, Ranveer’s behavior did not go down too well with Priyanka Chopra. The actor was so full of energy and hyper excited that he pulled Priyanka’s hand with great force, leaving her in pain.
Reports state that the actress was almost in tears due to the pain.

A source present on the sets revealed, “When it happened for the first time, Priyanka did not complain. However, when Ranveer continued to be rough, she started feeling a strong ache in her arm. At one point he almost twisted her arm, prompting her to yell at him and ‘take it easy’.”

After this horrid incident, Ranveer has started to mend his ways. “He is maintaining a distance. He was obviously not hurting her deliberately. He just seems too exuberant all the time,” added the source.

Making a confession and apologizing for his harsh behavior, Ranveer said, “We were shooting an intense scene in which I had to grab Priyanka’s arm. I din’t realise the force I was using. Later I saw that she had been bruised. I apologize to her profusely.”

The actor injured his face after falling from a height while shooting for a dance sequence. He apparently lost balance and came crashing down. It is heard that Ranveer’s cheek split open because of the sudden fall and so he was rushed to a nearby hospital. He was given a few stitches by the doctor and discharged.

A source told us, “Ranveer was performing his steps on an elevated structure, when he lost his balance and fell down. He hurt his back and suffered injuries on his face. He was rushed to a nearby hospital for medical aid, and the shoot was called off for the day.”

Despite the pain, Ranveer is not ready to alter his film schedule and will continue shooting as before.

Ranveer Singh’s spokesperson confirmed: “Ranveer injured himself slightly while shooting the song sequence whereby his cheek has a small gash and required a few stitches. However, Ranveer is perfectly fine and is continuing with the shoot schedules as per plan.”

Ranveer jokingly said, “Now I am even more in character for GUNDAY with his inimitable smile.”

Well, this is not the first time that Ranveer was injured on the film sets. Earlier in March, he had got injured while filming Lootera.

The first schedule of Gunday is completed. The film also stars Arjun Kapoor.

The film’s poster shows the two lead actors dressed as two small time thieves looking across the Howrah Bridge towards the sunrise. The ambitious project, set in Kolkata (then Calcutta), is a period film, that dwells on the mafia issue faced by the city in the 70s. The story is about how Bikram and Bala, two inseparable friends become the biggest and the most powerful mafia men. With a tagline – ‘Humaare Tevar Alag Hain’, the teaser promises something new. Priyanka Chopra and Irrfan Khan are also part of this much awaited film.

Directed by Ali Abbas Zaffar, whose earlier directorial venture, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan was successful, and being produced by Aditya Chopra the film is set to be one of the biggest releases in the coming year.

The film which is scheduled for a late 2013 release started its first shooting schedule in Mumbai this week.

Meanwhile, Arjun Kapoor who is riding high on his successful debut, Ishaqzadee, which released earlier this year revealed that  Gunday was one of his most exciting projects in hand. His other projects include Aurangazeb and 2 States.
