The movie is inspired by Milkha Singh, known for his brilliant running.

Nirmal Kaur, the former captain of the national women’s volleyball team, is impressed by the way Akhtar changed his appearance for the character and went through rigorous physical training.

According to sources, Nirmal Kaur said that Akhtar’s efforts in the film should fetch him some prestigious awards.

The teaser of the film, which was released last year with “Dabangg 2″, had garnered a good response from the audience. The official trailer is expected to be out soon.

Directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, “Bhaag Milkha Bhaag” also features Sonam Kapoor and is slated to release July 12.

“If every star refuses to work with me, am I going to stop making movies? Not at all! So, I will keep making movies with or without them,” Zoya said here recently.

Zoya has worked with stars like Hrithik Roshan, Katrina Kaif, Abhay Deol and even her actor-filmmaker brother Farhan Akhtar. She admits the presence of known names spells business.

“Stars ensure an opening and that’s why they are stars. They ensure eyeballs and they ensure people will notice your film. Some of them are amazing actors, who fit perfectly into a film. They are also very exciting to work with,” she said.

As of now, Zoya awaits the release of “Bombay Talkies”, which includes one of her short films.

According to a source, “The film is set in the ’50s and ’60s. To get the feel of that time and the spectators cheering for the athletes, these portions are being recreated using computer graphics. They will be seamlessly merged with the original shots later”. 

The post-production team of ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ has been busy working on the visuals of the movie,  as they aim to build an entire sports arena only by using visual effects (VFX). Until now, all the scenes involving Farhan Akhtar running were shot at a stadium in Chandigarh.

“Since the film was shot in a real stadium, we will be using the field shots from there as well. But the final edit will carry a combination of VFX and these original shots,” added the source.

Rakeysh comments saying, “It is heavy post-production work. The film is not only about the person but also about a particular time in history that needs to be captured.”

Denying rumours of Milkha Singh sitting in on the trailer edit, Mehra adds: “This is news to me. Why would I ask him to sit in the edit? This is my film!”

Bhaag Milkha Bhaag (English: Run Milkha Run) is an upcoming Bollywood biographical film on the former Indian athlete Mikha Singh. The film is being produced and directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra; starring Farhan Akhtar  and Sonam Kapoor.

Fukrey stars Pulkit Samrat, Manjot Singh, Ali Fazal, Richa Chadda, Vishakha Singh and south actress Priya Anand in the lead roles and is all set to release in may 2013.

Starting with recent release, Sajid Khan wanted to re-create Himmatwala of 1980′s which had Jeetendra and Sridevi in the lead roles. The old movie was a super hit due to sheer performances of the actors and the story suited to that era of audience. Sajid Khan did not do anything special apart from adding few gags in the movie and remade it. Due to bad performances and story being non- sense drama. Many of the audience felt the remake was terrible.

The movie was most stylish at that time and apart from iconic dialogues that remained everything was tweaked a little bit like the story was reworked,the situations were changed and with SRK’s performance, the remake won many hearts. The makers of the movie “Fukrey” have decide to go the animated way. The makers of the film say that they made an animated jingle to explain the word Fukrey.

Many people did not know the meaning of the movie and some people found it to be abusive. So to clear all the confusion, makersof the film Farhan Akthar and Ritesh Sidwani have decided to come up with an animated jingle to make people understand their movie title.

“Fukrey is a word that the people of Delhi and certain sections of north India are very familiar with. Of course, it is alien to a lot of us who are from elsewhere. Hence, the need to explain its meaning is important. Getting an animated jingle seemed like a fun way to do it because it definitely captures the youthful energy of the film,” said actor-producer Farhan Akthar.

And that’s a great mix, to be soft and professional — mostly professionalism wavers if people are emotional. I’ve known him for more than six years. I can fight with him, but when I miss him, I call him up. He treats me like a kid because he has seen me grow. Aamir is different because he takes his time doing a film, and enjoys himself.”

Preity Zinta said, “Had Aamir not been a perfectionist and had he not worked on his roles so hard, he would never have achieved this kind of a range.”

I was at my first show with him and I was saying, “Aamir, I really want to work much more selectively.” He asked me how long I had been acting and I said “Four years.” He said, “It took me six years to get to even vaguely working the way I wanted.”

I chased him all over the sets.” Madhuri also recalls the time Aamir shocked the daylights out of her. She says’ “Having just completely the exhaustive rap scene in DIL, I rested my back against the barn. Suddenly, a pair of hands gripped my neck from behind and I shrieked out in fright! Turning around I saw Aamir Khan grinning sadistically.”

Hrithik Roshan said, “When Aamir Khan praises you, you know you’re in the top league.”

“It can be called masterclass session wherein Spielberg will be imparting knowledge to Indian directors and would be learning from them as well. Vidya who gained a lot of weight for her performances in ‘ The Dirty Picture’ and ‘Kahaani’ had to loose a lot of weight for this movie as she had to look compatible with Farhan Akthar who is very slim. Pritish Nandy said about the unexpected casting, “We make cinema that is big and also intelligent. Farhan is one of the most intelligent actors today. He and Vidya are two of the biggest stars for last couple of years. It will instantly make my film topical. Both of them loved the script immediately.”
