Farah Khan was born on 9 January 1965 to Kamran Khan and Menaka. She made her debut as a choreographer with Jo Jeeta Wahi Sikandar and gained international recognition with movies like Monsoon Wedding, Bombay Dreams and Vanity Fair. As of 2013 she has won 5 Filmfare Awards for Best Choreography.
Farah Khan turned director with Mai Hoon Na starring Shahrukh Khan, Sushmita Sen, Zayed Khan and Amrita Rao. The movie received critical and commercial success and was declared a blockbuster. She next directed Om Shanti Om once again casting Shahrukh Khan as the male lead, the movie was a blockbuster.
Farah Khan was also on the panel of judges for reality shows like Indian Idol Season 1 & 2, Jo Jeeta Wohi Superstar, Entertainment Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega, Dance India Dance Li’l Masters and Just Dance.
