Here’s a list of Bollywood’s best action movies in 2012. We’re sure Dabangg 2 will join this list after it’s release.

Agneepath

Agneepath was the first major release of the year. The movie is a remake of the old Agneepath. Starring Hrithik Roshan and Sanjay Dutt, The film is considered as one of the best action movies ever and also was the first film to cross the 100 crore mark this year.

Ek Tha Tiger

Ek Tha Tiger saw the return of Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif on-screen together again. The movie has a lot of gritty action scenes, much like the ones we see in Hollywood. ETT opened to a record breaking collection at the Box Office and also became Salman Khan’s biggest hit.

Rowdy Rathore

Rowdy Rathore sees Akshay Kumar return to his action avatar. Directed by Prabhu Deva. Rowdy Rathore has over the top action scenes and was mainly targeted for the masses. The movie did brilliantly and Akshay’s action scenes were applauded.

Gangs Of Wasseypur 2

In Wasseypur crime is inherited. That’s what the promos of the movie said, and by far the best Bollywood action movie ever. The story revolves power struggles, politics and vengeance between three crime families.

Khiladi 786

Once again, Akshay Kumar returns to the Khiladi franchise with this film. The action in the film was okay and copied from a lot of other movies. The film was supposed to be a blockbuster but because of the repetitive action scenes it didn’t do quite well.

As predicted and expected the Yash Raj Film’s last release, which was directed by Kabir Khan, EK Tha Tiger has finally touched the 200 crore mark.

Netting nearly 2 crore in its latest outing, the Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif starrer crossed the 200 crore mark in five weeks, just from India.

EK THA TIGER is also Salman Khan’s biggest overseas grosser with £1,414,600 from UK, Aus$622,200 from Australia and $2,650,000 from the US.

EK Tha Tiger is only the second film to cross the 200 crore mark after the Amir Khan’s 3 Idiots. However, it looks really tough for ETT to cross the Rajkumar Hirani directed starrer as it’s run has almost come to an end.

Registering a collections close to Rs. 200 crores just in India, Ek Tha Tiger now finds its self in the midst of a controversy.

Rumors are that the film is a copy. Apparently, a script writer named Anand Shankar Panda has accused the producers of taking major parts of his script and producing the movie without making any changes to it. However, the co-writer of Ek Tha Tiger, Neelesh Mishra, has denied such charges and has reportedly asked Anand to prove his charge.

“Some so-called writer has gone to court saying Kabir Khan and I stole his idea for Ek Tha Tiger. I don’t use foul language in public or private so let me just say this politely – ‘We haven’t worked sincerely and honestly in our careers for more than 20 years to have our integrity questioned like this”, Neelesh said on a social networking site.

It is heard that the police have registered an FIR against Aditya Chopra and Kabir Khan under charges of cheating, criminal breach of trust and violation of Copyright Act.

On charges of stealing the script, Neelesh said, “We started work on the film in October 2009 and I have emails to prove it. This writer apparently claims that he registered his work in March 2011. I have nothing more to add. I dare him to prove it because otherwise I am going to sue him for damages till kingdom come.”

Anand Shankar Panda, we suggest you stop messing with the TIGERS..

The lucky blue-stone bracelet on Salman Khan’s hand has never ever left him. It has always accompanied him wherever he went. However, this time, in the film Ek Tha Tiger, Salman did not have it around his wrist. The actor felt the bracelet wouldn’t go well with his character of a RAW agent, in the movie.

“The silver bracelet was made to order for Salman by his father, Salim Khan some years ago and naturally, Salman’s very attached to it. But he did not wear it in Ek Tha Tiger as it did not go with the character he essayed in the film – that of a RAW agent. He wore it in Ready and in any film that it doesn’t clash with his on screen character,” says Salman Khan’s sister Alvira Khan to a website.

It is heard that the blue stone that Salman boasts of shoos away bad luck and draws only good fortune, in short, the bracelet is a lucky charm to the actor.

The Pakistan censor board has banned the release of Salman Khan’s ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ in her country. The film was supposed to hit Pakistani theaters on the Eid weekend with 35 prints.

Trade expert Taran Adarsh tweeted, “Breaking News: No release for #EkThaTiger in Pakistan.”

Reports have it that the reason for the film being banned in Pakistan is mainly because of its anti-Pakistan theme, where their powerful spy agency ISI is shown in bad light.

However, those who have watched the film says that the films theme is not anti-Pakistan but that of friendship between the two countries.

Director Kabir Khan is quoted to have said: “It is sad that a film promoting peace and friendship has fallen victim to politics.”

Back home, the film has seen a record breaking opening, collecting Rs 32.95 crore on its first day. ETT is said to have broken all the previous opening records.
