Diana Penty is an Indian model and actress who made her film debut in Cocktail alongside Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone Penty was born to a Parsi father and Christian mother in Mumbai.
She has been a model since she signed with Elite Model Management in 2005. She has walked the ramp for many famous designers including Rohit Bal and Wendell Rodricks. Penty replaced Deepika Padukone as the face for Maybelline. She also endorses Garnier. She appeared in a Virgin Mobile commercial with Ranbir Kapoor and Genelia D’Souza. She recently started endorsing the popular brand Tresseme.
Penty was to make her debut with the film Rockstar opposite Ranbir Kapoor. The role eventually went to Nargis Fakhri. But, she rejected the film due to her modeling assignments. Her performance in Cocktail was well received and Sonia Chopra of Sify stated,” Diana Penty is a talent to look out for. She, thankfully, is modeling import who can act.” Even Shobha De was positive about Diana’s debut. She said,” Diana Penty’s debut rates amongst the best in recent times. Not only is the girl absolutely lovely but she can act! Nobody expects actual acting prowess from our lissome models – well, here’s one with a terrific future.”
Though Diana hasn’t revealed much about her future projects, there have been rumours that she has signed a Sohail Khan’s film opposite Salman Khan.
