Dev Patel was born on 23 April 1990. He is born and raised in London. He was always good at acting as he was involved in a lot of plays. In 2006, he was selected to play teenage kid in British comedy Skins which helped in getting him his career turning role in Slumdog Millionaire. The movie won 10 oscars and his performance was widely applauded. He then worked in many Hollywood movies. He is currently dating his slumdog millionaire co-star Freida Pinto.
