Cocktail is a triangular love story that revolves around Gautam Kapoor(Saif Ali Khan) who is a looking for a relationship, Veronica(Deepika padukone), an independent woman who lives alone in London, Meera(Diana Penty), an innocent, traditional Indian lady who comes to London in search of his fled husband Kunal (Randeep Hooda). One day Gautam and Veronica meet up in a pub and then start dating. Meanwhile Meera becomes homeless after Kunal does not accept her as wife and luckily meets Veronica who takes Meera into her house. Soon after Gautam, Veronica and Meera become good friends and unusually Gautam starts liking meera and starts moving closely with her. On the other hand Veronica develops strong feelings towards Gautam and decides to marry him. Rest of the movie is about where does the trio end up after some sacrifices and hard fights.
