Rubbishing the rumours, Deepika Padukone said, “That’s not true at all. Shah Rukh is the most encouraging person I have worked with. He is extremely proud of me and my achievements and he would never do something like that.” While the whole cast of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani is busy with the film’s promotion and a global tour, Deepika wasn’t present at any promotional event so far.

Deepika Padukone had made her Bollywood debut opposite Shahrukh Khan, in Farah Khan’s Om Shanti Om. Speaking about it, she said, “Today, I am lot more confident and lot more comfortable around him. In the first film, I was just too shocked and too surprised about the fact that I have even got such a debut.”

Describing the experience of working with the King Khan, Deepika said, “He is definitely a friend. He has always been someone who I can rely on, or call on, at any point in the daytime or whatever. He is just somebody to talk to and he has been that person for me in Chennai Express as well.”

We hope this friendship reflects on screen, when Chennai Express is released in August!

While Salman Khan was busy shooting for his film Mental in South Goa, Shahrukh Khan was shooting for his film Chennai Express in North Goa. Previously, either of them used to walk out of an event when the other walked in. Thankfully, they didn’t have a problem being in the same state!

We’ve learned that Salman bhai has wrapped up his shoot as per schedule and is back in Mumbai now while SRK is continuing his shoot with Deepika Padukone. One can only imagine what would have happened had they run into each other! Given Sallu bhai’s clout and temper, should we call this as a narrow escape for SRK?

The song which starts south indian beauty Priyamani was apparently shot with lot of obscenity which eludes women in a bad manner which was absolutely not agreed by the censor beard and they have immediately given it an ‘A’.

However, Shahrukh Khan who never wants to lose family audience and children to watch his movies was ready to give up the masala stuff in the item song so that movie will get ‘U’ or’U/A’.Becasue of which the song will be re-shot without any obscene content against women but song will contain the cheesy south indian moves par with the catchy beats.

The song is being choreographed by Raju Sundaram who is the younger brother of director cum choreographer Prabhudeva. Raju SUnderam was never really interested in choreographing a Bollywood song but he agreed to that as the song has southern flavour in it which he would never resist to compose.

In a recent advertisement, we saw Shahrukh Khan saying that from now on, his leading lady’s name will be before his in movie titles. And this move of his has won many hearts and a few girls were so impressed on hearing the news that they sent a bouquet of red roses to him.

“I would request to all those who I am working with, starting with Chennai Express (to do it). I don’t know whether this is going to bring a change but the point needs to be raised,” said Shahrukh recently.

It was on the occasion of International Women’s Day that King Khan pledged to follow this in all his movies henceforth. ”With the mark of 100 years of Indian cinema and Women’s Day coming up, it would be a nice combination. In Chennai Express, Deepika Padukone’s name will appear first,” he added.

Shahrukh’s decision has definitely made Deepika Padukone happy. But she does not seem to be the only person in the industry impressed by the decision though. The female cast of Anubhav Sinha’s next film Gulaab Gang, we hear, had sent a large bouquet of red roses to Shahrukh at Wai, where the actor and Deepika were busy shooting for Chennai Express.

“Mahie Gill, Tanishtha Chatterjee and the others are very gung-ho about the actor’s decision. Since their film too is based on a group of women, who took up arms to protest against domestic and social violence towards the fairer sex, they wanted to say thanks to SRK,” said a source.

Gulab Gang is an upcoming movie starring Madhuri Dixit and Juhi Chawla. The film is based on a group of women vigilantes in Uttar Pradesh with same name. This women group which is generally dressed in pink, fights against social injustice and violence against women in Bundelkhand, UP.

Its definitely a change that has never been brought to light before and we like it! For the first time in 100 years of Indian cinema, this is something worth addressing. What say people?

According to  that few sources, the news is  that Rohit 100 crore Shetty has two scripts ready with him that has caught SRK’s attention. Considering how successful Rohit has become over the years and how much publicity “Chennai Express” and their combination has gained. “Chennai Express” story is about this man’s travel from Mumbai to Rameshwaram and what happens during the journey. There is a lot of romance keeping Shah Rukh in mind but it will also be a typical Rohit Shetty film with cars blowing and lots of action. It has Deepika Padukone playing the female lead in the flick which is going to release in August of this year.

All we hope is that Rohit doesn’t forget the person who put him in the top league, Ajay Devgn in the process of making films with his new found buddy.

Deepika Padukone’s lungi and shirt look in Chennai Express is something never seen before and it is generating a considerate amount of curiosity about the movie.

Deepika revealed that it was director Rohit Shetty and actor Shahrukh Khan who came up with the idea.

“The idea to wear a ‘lungi’ is not mine actually. It was Shah Rukh and Rohit who came up with it. We had to quickly do a photoshoot because we were losing the light. They were like ‘Why don’t we give her this lungi and make her look modern’, “said the actress.

“That’s something new and I hope it works,” added Deepika about her look. We hope so too! The trendsetter that Deepika is, we hope that this is not going to follow suit!

“The shirt that I am wearing in the posters also belongs to SRK, only the sunglasses are mine,” she said.

It was more than five years back that we saw Deepika Padukone and Shahrukh Khan together in Om Shanthi Om. It will be interesting to wait and watch if the pair is going to recreate the magic in this movie as well.

There was speculation that the actress would be working with Salman Khan in the film Kick. However Deepika denies it saying, “That’s all speculation. It probably stems from the fact that I had expressed a desire to work with Salman Khan. Maybe these stories are coming from there. There is nothing concrete on that film yet.”

Meanwhile Deepika who is riding high on the success of her film, Race 2 has three more films lined up - Kochadaiyaan with Rajinikanth, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, her film with Ranbir Kapoor and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Ram Leela.

Bearing the Rohit Shetty stamp, the posters have cars blown off, baddies flying around and the hero flaunting his strut and swagger.

There has been buzz that Chennai Express will have Shahrukh Khan doing a lot of dare-devil stunts. However, the superstar recently denied that.

Shahrukh Khan said: “I have read somewhere that I’ll be going shirtless and doing big stunts in Chennai Express, but there is nothing like that. I am just romancing in the film. That’s what I know to do well.”

However Shahrukh admitted that there are some really cool stunts in the film.

“Rohit has designed some really cool stuff, but it was safe (doing the stunts). He does stunts so well that you don’t realize if a stunt is being performed. It’s very very safe. I think it’s what he’s learned from his father and the fact that he’s been making such action films,” Shahrukh said.

Chennai Express is produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and UTV Pictures. The movie will release in mid 2013. Most probably on Diwali.
