Shahid Kapoor on Kunal Kohli’s next!!
At the launch of Pioneer MIXTRAX in-car Audio, Bollywood cutie, Shahid Kapoor was spotted, interacting with the media, at his humorous best.
Calling himself unemployed, Shahid said, “I don’t like to comment on any of my films till the producers make an official announcement. All I can say is I don’t have any films right now. So right now I am unemployed.”
The actor added, “In the second half of the year I have many films.”
Shahid will be seen in Kunal Kohli’s next, opposite Priyanka Chopra. Talking about his relationship with Priyanka Chopra and about the film, the actor says, “It’s premature to talk about the film. It’s a film which is shot over three different time periods. It’s a romantic comedy. Priyanka is a fun co-star and we share a good chemistry.”

Shahrukh promotes Priyanka’s ‘Teri Meri Kahani’..
Promoting films is like a childs play for King Khan. Well, at a recent award function, Shahrukh Khan was busy promoting Priyanka Chopra’s forthcoming flick, Teri Meri Kahani, which also stars Shahid Kapoor in the lead. The film is directed by Kunal Kholi.
This happened while PC came on stage to receive her award, which was given by Kunal.
Kunal, who was present on stage when this happend, said: “It was really very sweet of Shahrukh Khan. He was on stage co-hosting the show with Vidya Balan. I went up on stage to give Priyanka Chopra an award, and I said I hoped she’d get one next year for my film.”
“Shahrukh turned around and asked me, ‘What is this, plugging your film at any given opportunity?’ I told him, ‘Sir, I learnt it from you only.’ Then Shah Rukh announced to the audience that they must watch my film. I thought it was a thoughtful gesture,” Kunal Kohli is quoted as saying by a news agency.
Kohli’s film Teri Meri Kahani has just wrapped up filming for the movie.
Shahid comes to Priyanka’s rescue…
Priyanka Chopra was rescued by her former sweet heart, Shahid Kapoor, after she got nearly mobbed on the sets of their tentatively titled Teri Meri Kahaani in Aurangabad.
A stampede like situation occurred as the crowd got uncontrollable.
A source says, “On an average there were nearly 8,000 to 10,000 people on the sets.
On the day we shot at Daulatabad Fort, over 30,000 people bought tickets to visit the place. On the last day we were shooting at the lake, which was surrounded by hills.
Two of those were completely filled with people. It was madness. Some people tried to get too close to Priyanka and that’s when Shahid came forward and took her aside.”
Adds the source, “They both were pretty cool and took a break every two hours to wave to the people who had come all the way to see them. Shahid even said it would have been depressing if no one had come to see them.”
However the director of the film, Kunal Kholi denies the stampede reports.
“No, that’s not true. There were no untoward incidents. Fortunately, we had the support of the local police and we had our own security. We definitely had to tighten the security to manage the crowds.”

Shahid not ready for another love story!
Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s new project, a love triangle ‘Chitthiyan’ was offered to Shahid Kapoor. But, it is heard that, the actor turned down the offer after his last film ‘Mausam’ went bla at the box-office.
“I haven`t accepted any new offer except Maneesh Sharma`s. And it would be inappropriate to talk about the films I`ve said no to,” said the 30-year-old actor.
It seems that Shahid is not ready for another love story after what happened with ‘Mausam’. Says a close friend of Shahid, “He is hearing at an average one script every day. For some strange reason, most of the films on offer, including Anand (`Tanu Weds Manu`) Rai`s `Ranjhana`, are love stories. Ideally, Shahid would want to do an action film next.”
“Shahid has the highest regard for Vidhu Vinod Chopra`s work and was keen to work with him. But a love story is not what he wants to do at the moment. He meant no offence to Mr. Chopra and would like to work with him in the future. At the moment the only film Shahid has said yes to is Maneesh Sharma`s next for the Yash Raj Films…” added the friend.
Bollywood gets a Vampire and it’s Shahid Kapoor!
Shahid Kapoor is definitely a versatile actor. If all goes as planned, Shahid Kapoor is all set to play the role of a Vampire in Satish Kaushik’s next.
It is heard that Satish has sent Shahid ‘The Company Red’, a book on vamps, written by Shantanu Dhar. Shahid is currently in Goa, enjoying his vacations.
Though the actor seems to have liked the concept, he has neither given a yes or a no to the role.
But, we thought Shahid is a pure Veggie!! We wonder how he’s gonna play the role.
Why isn’t Shahid Kapoor ready to commit?
A lot of rumors about Bipasha-Shahid’s on-off relationship have been doing the rounds and if buzz is to be believed, the reason why Shahid is not being able to take this relationship forward is because of his past break ups.
According to a source, “Bipasha and Shahid really like each other and they wanted to take it a step ahead. But he is still not ready to get into a full-fledged relationship at this point.”
Adds the source, “His friendship with Priyanka was very tumultuous.
There was a lot of passion, but the many break-ups they went through took a toll on him. He is yet to get into that space where he could completely commit to someone.”
Talking about Bips, post breakup with John, the actress is finding comfort in her Dum Maro Dum co-star, Rana Daggubatti. Says the source, “Apparently, Bipasha confided in a friend recently, saying that Rana was a close friend and Shahid needs some more time from her.”
Shahid is Bollywood’s Tom Cruise!!!
Shahid Kapoor’s Mausam may not have won many hearts but this hasn’t let the actor down. In fact, Shahid has bagged the biggest project of his career.
Well, Fox Studios has decided to cast the young actor in the Hindi remake of 2010 romantic action comedy Knight And Day, which originally starred Tom Cruise. The Bollywood version will be directed by Siddharth Anand.
Explaining why Fox Star, the original producers of the film decided to cast Shahid in the lead role, a source told, “Fox Studios feels that Shahid has immense potential to carry out Tom Cruise’s histrionics convincingly. They find him to be an actor who can portray a gamut of emotions if and when required.”
“Also, Shahid is very close to Anand. They share a very good equation. They have worked on some television commercials together,” added the source.
The leading lady, however is yet to be finalized.
“The leading lady is yet to be finalised. The official announcement is on its way. They will announce it soon enough as they want to go on floors next year,” said the source.

Madhavan replaced by Shahid in ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ sequel??
With Tanu Weds Manu, director Anand Rai scored the first hit of his career, Kangna Ranaut and Madhavan got their first major solo hits too.
News now has it that Shahid Kapoor will be roped in to romance Kangna in the sequel of the film. This mean, Madhavan will no longer be in the project.
While talking to a popular tabloid, a source says, “Anand Rai made his debut with the film Strangers a few years back. However, despite positive reviews, the film failed to make a mark at the box office. After that Rai made Tanu Weds Manu, which turned out to be one of the biggest hits of the year. He now wants to make a bigger film with A-list actors. That’s the reason he has been meeting Shahid Kapoor these days.”
Buzz also has it that director Anand Rai has discussed two film with Shahid. So now, the actor has a choice between Tanu Weds Manu sequel and Ranjhana. Preferably both. “Shahid is currently going through both the scripts. He is still to decide which one he wants to be a part of,” added the source.
Adding a few more details, the source says, “The success of Tanu Weds Manu has been attributed mainly to Kangna’s character. Rai obviously wants to retain her in the film. But since he wants a bigger film, he has approached an A-list actor Shahid Kapoor.”
Anand Rai said, “I am in the process of finalising the drafts of my two films right now. Yes, I am meeting actors but it is too early to say who will be in either film.”
It’s on screen romance for Shahid-Anushka, once again!!
‘Badmaash Company’, saw their sizzling on screen chemistry and now the duo, Anushka-Shahid will be seen in YRF’s next to be directed by Maneesh Sharma.
Says a source, “Their on-screen chemistry was so convincing that many thought that it stemmed from an off-screen romance. And after watching Shahid’s performance in Mausam, YRF and Maneesh decided that Anushka and Sasha were an apt pair for the film.”
Adds the source, “The film has been scripted by Jaideep Sahni, who also wrote the scripts of the three blockbusters – Chak De, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and Bunty Aur Babli.”
YRF spokesperson said, “Maneesh is still shooting Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl. He will complete his next script and finalise the cast after the release of Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl, on December 9.”
