Agneepath, a superhit!
Agneepath is a HIT! Though there was a slight fall in the collections of Friday, it picked up very well on Saturday and Sunday and is still going strong.
On 26th Jan, the film opened to a bombarding start, breaking all records of the first-day earning, collecting a whopping sum of Rs. 23 crore. Friday, 27th Jan, was a bit shaky as the movie collected jus Rs 12 crore. However, the amount raised to Rs 14.5 crore on Saturday and Rs 17.5 crore on Sunday.
The weekend saw a total collection of Rs. 67.5 crore.
The next big flick will be Ek Mein Aur Ek Tu, starring Kareena Kapoor and Imran Khan, releasing on the 10th of Feb.
Do NOT call Sanjay Dutt ‘Kancha Cheena’…
Sanjay Dutt’s powerful performance in his latest film ‘Agneepath’, has definitely won millions of hearts. His name in the film, ‘Kancha Cheena’, has now become a synonym to a villain. However, Sanju baba is not very fond of the name Kancha.
Recently, Hirthik Roshan threw a big bash for the success of his latest film, ‘Agneepath’. Sanjay Dutt was a also a part of it. At around 2:30 am, after partying really hard, when Sanju walked out of the party, he was approached by a number of photographers. Suddenly, one of them shouted out ‘Kancha’ to attract his attention and click him.
Unlike Vidya Balan, who enjoys being called ‘Silk’, off screen, Sanjay Dutt seemed furious and snapped at the photographer. The actor’s behavior shocked the cameramen around him.
We wonder what’s the reason behind this.
Its raining money for Agneepath at the Box Office…
Agneepath is doing super awesome at the box office. It opened to a mind blowing response, with 90 percent of the cinema houses, houseful.
The film having received positive reviews from almost all film critics, is sure to emerge as the first blockbuster of 2012, with a four day weekend being its plus point.
The film is said to have broken the highest first-day collection record of Salman Khan’s ‘Bodyguard’, crossing the 21 crore mark.
Bollywood on ‘Agneepath’… A must watch!
January 2012 hasn’t seen any interesting releases yet. However, now, all eyes are fixed on 26th Jan, i.e. tomorrow, as Agneepath, one of the most awaited flicks of the year, is set to hit theaters. Going by the posters, trailers and the music, the film starring Hrithik Roshan as Vijay Dinanath Chauhan and Sanjay Dutt as the villain Kancha Cheena, is surely going to have theaters packed
If trade analysts are to be gone by, Agneepath is said to open with a positive response. It is heard that pre bookings have already and the film promises to make big bucks. More than the lead star, Hrithik, the film looks like it belongs to the villian, Kancha Cheena aka Sanjay Dutt.
Last night, a special screening of Agneepath was held and celebs couldn’t stop raving about the film.

The item number Chikni Chameli did raise the expectation levels of the audiences. However, the second trailer of the film has raised it even more.
In the trailer, you will get to see Priyanka Chopra as a chirpy girl and Hrithik Roshan as an angry man with so much of vengeance in his eyes. In fact, Hrithik’s eyes says it all.

Salman-Priyanka to add glamor at an awards night
What happens when Bollywood’s handsome hunk and the super pretty, talented and gorgeous beauty come together on a single platform?? Well, we are talking about Salman Khan and Priyanka Chopra, who are coming together to add glamor with their performances at the second edition of BIG Star Entertainment Awards.
The show will be held in Mumbai on Dec 18.
“This property has lent a new platform to the entertainment industry in India where the audiences are empowered to choose their favourite entertainers sans jury. Post the roaring success of the awards which debuted last year, we are back with a bigger entertainment line-up this year,” Rabe.T.Iyer, business head, BIG Live, said in a press statement.
The awards function is totally left to the audience, to nominate and vote for their favorites across the genres of television, sports, films, music and dance.
It will be aired on New Year’s Eve on Star Plus.
Katrina Kaif the ‘Chikni Chameli’..
Sheila Ki Jawani literally rocked the nation and now, the very hot and senseous Katrina Kaif is all set to give another jatkha with her sexy moves in Chikni Chameli, in the movie Agneepath.
Just about an hour ago, Karan Johar tweeted, “Katrina kaif is doing a full on item song in AGNEEPATH….its a total swinging number called CHIKNI CHAMELI….we shoot it in a week!!”
The leading lady of the film, Priyanka Chopra is also super excited about the film’s trailer releasing on Sunday. “Saw the new trailer of Agneepath that’s gonna come out! Wow! Take a bow karan malhotra!l look forward to some sexy surprises u don’t expect! fun!” she tweeted.
Priyanka further added, “Music dance and other ‘items’ are on the cards…can’t say more…except it’s sooooper exciting!”
Coming back to Kats, this gorgeous lady once again puts on her dancing shoes and is ready to sizzle in her upcoming item song. The film also stars Hrithik Roshan and Sanjay Dutt in pivotal roles.

David Dhawan’s Back to Form
How long has it been that we got to witness a typical David Dhawan comedy flick? Probably not one, in the new millennium. But the Director of Blockbuster comedies of the nineties (especially with Govinda in the lead) is back on track again. The Ajay Devgan-Sanjay Dutt starrer ‘Rasacals’ that was released yesterday is indeed reminding everyone of the nineties where everyone was holding their tummies and were drowned in non-stop laughter.

When Shahrukh Khan lost his cool!!!
Shahrukh Khan often at his best behavior in front of the media. He is one actor who remains calm, cordial and cool with the media. However, it was not the same this time at the music launch of Ra.One.
Now, there was one question that completely spoiled SRK’s jolly mood. He was asked about Priyanka Chopra’s absence at the music launch, despite she making a guest appearance in the film.
Shahrukh literally insulted the reporter in his reply.
“There’s Sanjay Dutt too in the film and even he hasn’t come. I am glad that Sanjay and Priyanka didn’t come nahin toh unhe tumhare sawaalon se sharminda hona padta,” Shahrukh is reported to have said.

First Trailer: ‘Agneepath’!!!
The first official trailer of one of the most awaited films, Agneepath, is finally out!
“Every story has a beginning… And an end…This one is only about…REVENGE.” The wordings itself is enough to send goosebumps down your spine. The beginning of the trailer has a child (Vijay) walking hand-in-hand with his father. The very next scene shows the father hanged to death by the deadly Kancha Cheena (Sanjay Dutt). That’s when the weeping Vijay seeks revenge.
The grown up grown-up Vijay’s (Hrithik Roshan) emotions are outstanding. Priyanka Chopra, the female lead, is seen romancing Hrithik Roshan. Rishi Kapoor also seems to be playing a negative character in the film.
The dialogue, “Vijay Dinanath Chauhan ko marna padega.”, coming out from Sanjay Dutt’s mouth sounds super scary.
January 2012, is surely going to be a rocking month for Bollywood…
Sanju baba to become Sanju ‘Papa’ for Salman Khan…
Salman Khan is very keen on roping in Sanjay Dutt to play his onscreen father in Atul Agnihotri upcoming film, ‘Bodyguard. But after what happened at Maanyata Dutt’s birthday party, we are not really sure if Sanjay would accept Salman’s plea.
According to a source, “the role (a guest appearance) needs the presence of someone tough and macho, someone who Salman looks up to even in real life.
Hence, Sanju fits the bill. However, if the actor does decide to do his friend a favour, he’ll have to make up his mind fast as the shooting of Bodyguard has to be completed by the first week of August.”
Confirming the news to a tabloid, producer and brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri says Salman only wants Sanjay, and since this is a guest appearance it wouldn’t take that long for Sanjay to complete the shoot.
The duo will soon be seen together in Bigg Boss Season 5.
