Ranbir Kapoor under the knife!

Ranbir Kapoor is unwell. The actor was admitted in Breach Candy hospital yesterday morning, to undergo a small surgery. There was a cyst formation on the actors back. It was a minor operation and Ranbir was discharged a few hours after the surgery took place.
Confirming the news, a close friend of Ranbir said, “Ranbir has been operated for a sebaceous gland problem. The surgery was minor.”
“His Barfi! schedule was cancelled for a few days since his co-star Ileana was down with food poisoning. Ranbir can resume the schedule if he wants,” added the friend.

Ranbir Kapoor performs a dangerous stunt!

Ranbir Kapoor is currently shooting for ‘Barfi’, a film directed by Anurag Basu. In one of the scenes, Ranbir had to run away from the cops and then had to jump from a rooftop of one building to another, which is 8 to 10 feet apart.
Though the filmmakers hired a body double for the scene, RK went ahead and performed the stunt himself. We guess Ranbir was in a daredevil mood.
Produced by UTV, Barfi stars Priyanka Chopra and Ileana D’Cruz opposite Ranbir Kapoor. The film is scheduled for a July release this year.
Have your say!

Vidya & Ranbir won the Best actor awards at Colors Screen Awards 2012. Do you think they deserve it? If not? who deserves the same?
When Ranbir touched Deepika’s feet!

At the Colors Screen Awards held in Mumbai on Saturday, out of many memorable moments, the one that left the public in a state of shock was when Ranbir Kapoor touched Deepika Padukone’s feet while receiving an award.
Well, director Subhash Ghai and Deepika Padukone were to present the award to Ranbir Kapoor, who won the best actor award for his performance in Rockstar.
Ranbir, after grabbing the award, out of respect, touched Mr Ghai’s feet and then went on to touch Deepy’s too.
Well, now this gesture of Ranbir Kapoor has now become a hot topic among the rumor mills. While some say, RJ deliberately touched her feel out of repentance for having cheated on her, while others call it fun.
First Look: Barfee..

Barfee is a forthcoming Bollywood Romantic, thriller flick, directed by Anurag Basu. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Choopra and Ileana D’Cruz in the lead.
Barfee is scheduled to release in July 13, 2012.

An outstanding performance by Ranbir and IIeana!

Anurag Basu’s ‘Barfee’ recently saw Ranbir Kapoor and Ileana D’Cruz deliver such an emotional performance that it literally brought tears in the eyes of the crew members present there.
Say’s a source from the sets, “certain emotional scenes between Ranbir and Ileana were so intense and beautifully performed that they left many of us and other members of the crew in tears”.
“We would all end up not engaging in too much conversation with each other even after the scene would be completed as we would need some quiet alone time to get out of that emotional zone,” added the production insider.
The film sees Ranbir playing a deaf and dumb character, Ileana’s character of a translator that spans and Priyanka an autistic girl.
The movie releases mid-2012.
Ranbir Kapoor, the new Mr Perfectionist!

Ranbir Kapoor seems to be following Aamir Khan’s footsteps, to becoming the new Mr Perfectionist in Bollywood. We saw his awesome work in Rockstar. Now the actor is busy preparing for his next flick, Barfee. It is heard that the actor has taken over the task of shooting his own close ups in the film from cinematographer Ravi K Chandran.
A source from the sets of the film said, “Since Ranbir plays a mute character, he needed to get his expressions perfect. Through his eyes and other facial expressions Ranbir needed to convey a limitless range of emotions that go from thoughtful to funny. And to capture the exact expressions at the exact time, Ranbir suggested he operate the camera himself on himself.”
What’s more interesting is that Ravi Chandran, who is known to be a perfectionist in his field, has given this liberty Ranbir.
“That’s because Ravi and Ranbir go back a long way. Ravi shot Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Black where Ranbir was an assistant. Coincidentally Black was also about a deaf-and-mute protagonist. So Ranbir and Ravi know how difficult it is to get the right expressions on camera at just the right moment,” explained the source.
Director Anurag Basu confirmed, “Yes, Ranbir shot his own POV (point of view) shots. Since he plays a deaf-and-mute character it was very important for him to get the reaction shots right.”
Rockstar at the Box Office!

Rockstar is going very strong yet in it’s second week. The film starring Ranbir Kapoor and Nargis Fakhri, did a business of around Rs. 10 crore in its second weekend, collecting Rs 2.50 crore nett on Friday, Rs 3.25 crore nett on Saturday and Rs 4.25 crore nett on Sunday.
In the first week, a business of 47.50 crore was made. On combining the first and second weekends collection, a total of 57. 50 crore was extracted from the film’s ten-day run at theatres.
The next big release is Desi Boyz, starring Akshay Kumar, John Abraham, Deepika Padukone and Chitrangada Singh. The film is set to release this Friday.
Deepika wept watching Ranbir Kapoor!
Ranbir Kapoor’s performance in Imtiaz Ali’s film Rockstar was terrific. His acting literally moved people to tears.
Well, one person who actually had tears in her eyes was none other then his ex girlfriend, Deepika Padukone.
If buzz is to be believed, while watching Rockstar at a special screening hosted by Ranbir, Deepika eyes went watery. She was so engrossed and involved in the film and that was when she even wept secretly. Well, now this should be a BIG compliment to Ranbir Kapoor.
Apart from Deepika, Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif were invited, for the screening.
Ranbir Kapoor talks about his unrequited love!!
Ranbir Kapoor, the cansanova of Bollywood, recently made a shocking confession (a romantic one) on the chat show ‘On The Couch With Koel’.
Ranbir revealed to Koel Purie about a mysterious woman whom he loved but unfortunately, his love wasn’t reciprocated>
“This is the first time I’m ever saying it, but I am still kind of in love with somebody who wasn’t in love with me. And this doesn’t have to be an actor. It could be…whoever,” said Ranbir, refusing to let out the name.
He added, “I love it (aching heart). I love conflict, I romance pain…I love isolation.”
When he was questioned about his most humbling experience, by Koel Ranbir reiterated: “The woman I loved who didn’t reciprocate.”
We really wonder are are super curious to know the name of the girl!!
