Did Katrina Kaif reject Rajnikanth??
As reported earlier, Katrina Kaif is one actress who is most wanted, down South. It was heard that the actress had grabbed a meaty role opposite superstar Rajnikanth. However, The director of the film later confirmed that Deepika Padukone had landed up with the role.
Well, Kats was Rajni's first choice for Kochadaiyaan. However, the actress had a super tight schedule and so couldn't give dates for Rajnikant's film.
In the past few days, producers have been saying that they are in talks with Kats for some of their upcomings projects. However, kats has a different story to tell.
Her manager is quoted as saying, “Apart from Soundarya Rajinikanth (for Kochadaiyaan), there has been no direct communication with any of the other producers down south.(sic)”
For those new to this news, Kats has already worked down South opposite Venkatesh. Her manager says, “Katrina is a deep admirer of cinema made in the south and she is also fully clued into the legendary status of some of the leading men. She has utmost respect for Mohanlal, Mammootty, Kamal Hassan and Rajinikanth.”
The actress is currently shooting for Ek Tha Tiger with Salman Khan. Her next project will be with SRK for a Yash Chopra film and then Dhoom 3 with Aamir Khan.
Deepika steps in Katrina’s shoes.
Till yesterday, news had it that Katrina Kaif was the leading lady opposite Rajnikanth in the film Kochadaiyaan. But now the latest news is that Deepika Padukone landed the coveted part.
Soundarya, Rajni’s younger daughter is directing the movie. She tweets, “Guys. Deepika padukone confirmed to play appa s pair in Kochadaiyaan 
great to have you back with us @deepikapadukone :) big hug!”
Not very long ago, Deepika Padukone was signed opposite Rajnikanth in Rana. However, following Rajni’s ill health, the movie got shelved.
It is heard that Deepy had refused Housefull 2 in order to act opposite Rajni sir, in Rana. Now that the film has been postponed, the actress is game for Kochadaiyaan.
The film will have Tamil actress Sneha play Rajinikanth’s sister, while actress Shobhana and actor Aadhi will have important roles in the film.
The films music will be composed by A R Rahman. Kochadaiyaan is going to be unique and this is for the first time that a 3D film with performance capturing technology is being shot in India.
Katrina to romance Rajinikanth in his next!
Now, this is some good news. Well, all the Rajnikanth fans, you are soon going to see your favorite and evergreen Rajni sir romancing the gorgeous Katrina Kaif in his next film Kochadaiyaan.
It is heard that, the film will be directed by Rajni’s daughter, Soundarya, wherein Rajnikanth will be essaying the role of a king, who is a heart core devotee of Lord Shiva.
Soundarya confirmed the developments, saying, “Yes, we are indeed in talks with Katrina and we will let you know soon.”
A R Rahman has recorded most of the music, including the love song to be filmed on Rajinikanth and Katrina.“Rahman is bringing 130 musicians from Germany to record the background score,” a reliable source revealed.
Reports state that the film will be a 3D flick. The first look of Kochadaiyaan, meaning, “the king with long hair”, will be unveiled in the third week of January.
Well, two superstars, one from the North and other from the South, will surely create magic, on screen.
Rajnikanth wants Vidya Balan…
Reports have it that megastar Rajnikanth is keen to work with Bollywood actress Vidya balan, in his next movie. What’s interesting is that, previously too, Vidya was approached by the superstar, but the actress turned down his offer.
Well, the actress was Rajni’s first choice for Rana. Turning down the superstar’s offer came as a shock to many in the industry, though Vidya had her reasons for declining the offer.
As a source is quoted as saying, “Vidya is the flavour of the season. She has proven herself time and again and Soundarya Rajinikanth (the producer) is looking for someone who can do complete justice to the part…”
It is heard that the superstar is a big admirer of Vidya Balan and believes that she has a great potential.
Aishwarya to make a come back early next year!
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been in news from quite sometime now. First it was her pregnancy, then her baby and now it is whether the actress will make a come back anytime soon.
Well, like we earlier reported, the actress will be making a special appearance in the South superstar Ranikanth’s ‘Kochadaiyaan’.
If this buzz is true, then this will be her first filmy appearance post delivery. Like we have reported earlier too, Ash is on a one year break and it is only after that will she decide to make a come back or not.
Says a source, “There was a lot of back and forth on what project Rajnikanth would be working on, post his illness. But now he has already started work on his daughter Soundarya’s film Kochadaiyaan.
Though the leading lady for the film is yet to be finalised, it was decided from the very beginning that they would request Aishwarya to do a special appearance.”
Adds the source, “Rajni sir shares a very warm relationship with Aishwarya and there’s little chance that she would say no to him.
Even during the making and promotions of Robot, it was evident that they would definitely work in a film together again. However, now that Ash has other family and professional commitments, it seems difficult for her to devote time for a full-fledged role and hence this.”

The actor who is considered God down South is all set to spend his day with his family. It is heard that, the actor has been flooded with bouquets, wishing him good health and a long life.
A slew of events have been organized by Rajni’s fans, to honor the megastar.
Meanwhile, Rajnikanth jokes continue to flood social networking site, the latest being, “Haappy Rajnikant to all birthdays”!

The generous Shahrukh Khan!!
Shahrukh Khan knows how to value friendship. Despite Ra.one not living up to his expectations, he is very grateful to people who have believed in him and make his dream project come true.
Seems like the actor is in a very generous and give away mood. If what we have heard is true, then it seems SRK is all set to gift his Ra.One friends a brand new BMW 7 series, each.The superstar has ordered for five BMW 7 series. Arjun Rampal and Anubhav Sinha are in the list. Also, Rajnikanth will be gifted one by SRK.
As a source informed a tabloid, “Shahrukh has decided to gift one of the five BMW to Anubhav Sinha. One car will go to Arjun Rampal. Since Rajinikanth flew down to Mumbai to shoot specially for his cameo in the film, he’ll get one car.”
Earlier too, during the making of Main Hoon Na, SRK gifted Farah Khan a Hyundai Terracan and a Mercedes during Om Shanti Om.
Aishwarya Rai in Rajnikant’s Rana?
Now here’s a surprise for all the Aishwarya fans… If buzz is to be believed, Ash will be seen in Rajnikant’s Rana. Well, Deepika Padukone will be essaying the female lead role in the film, Ash will make a special guest apperance.
Aishwarya Rai who is currently in the hospital for her deliver, has been showered upon with blessing from the South superstar and his family. Once she’s is back all fit and fine, Ash will be doing a special role in Rana. Rumors are that Ash’s role in the film will be like a dedication to the Superstar on behalf of his gratitude shown in Enthiran.
Rajinikanth and Aamir Khan together for a cause..
After SRK’s Ra.One being graced by Rajnikanth’s presence, It’s now Aamir Khan, who is all set to share screen space with the superstar, in an advertisement.
The advertisement that will see the two superstars together, is pictured on child health in India and it’s awareness.
We all are aware of the fact that Rajni sir never features in advertisements, unless it’s for a cause. The last time he was seen in an ad was 20 years back, which was again for a cause.
However, things are not yet over. If rumors are to be believed, Aamir Khan might take things beyond this advertisement, with Rajnikanth. The actor is keen on working with the superstar in a full flagged film and not just a cameo role.

Another Superstar for Ra.One
Shahrukh Khan is making sure that his Diwali release, and the costliest Bollywood film that has been made to date just gets bigger and bigger day by day. First it was the budget of the film, then it was Akon, then the VFX, the costumes and only a few days ago SRK got Superstar Rajnikanth to play a cameo in the film. Just when we thought it won’t get any bigger, King Khan has now also roped in the ‘Superstar of the Millennium’ Amitabh Bachchan to do voice over for Ra.One.
We know the potential of Big B’s voice. And also, Big B is not new to providing voice over either. He’s previously done that for films like Lagaan and Jodhaa-Akbar. His voice over for Lagaan was indeed considered an asset to the film. Now that he’s doing the same for Ra.One, it would only enhance the film’s appeal further.
Now, three Superstars of our time are part of a film like Ra.One, what more could the fans ask for?
Rajni Obliges SRK – Shoots for His ‘Cameo’
We reported a few days earlier that Shahrukh Khan is very much keen on Rajnikanth doing a cameo for his upcoming Sci-Fi flick, Ra.One. Whether Rajni would do that or not, given his health condition, and the release date of Ra.One nearing was a big dilemma until yesterday.
Shahrukh Khan has confirmed on the microblogging site Twitter that Rajnikanth has shot for his cameo yesterday, which is 2 October at the Whistlingwood Studios in Mumbai. The shoot took place for 3 hours and Rajni wrapped up his part within this time, and now officially, the shooting of Ra.One is over, and our King Khan is mighty pleased and can’t stop thanking Superstar Rajnikanth.
Shahrukh was all praise for the Superstar on Twitter and our Baadshah Khan thanked Rajnikanth and his entire family for extending their help in completing Ra.One. Now that we know Rajni is part of Ra.One, the film is only going to get bigger and better.
Will Ra.One Feature Robot?
Ever wondered how it would be if Batman and Spider-Man starred in the same film? What would happen if we get to see two super heroes in the same film? Well, that’s a tough proposition to deal with as far as a film is concerned? But how about getting to see the biggest two Super Stars of Indian cinema alongside each other sharing the screen space. Wouldn’t it just be a visual treat? Wondering who the biggest Super Stars are – Rajnikanth and Shah Rukh Khan.
Apparently, the ‘Baadshah of Bollywood’ wants to rope in Super Star Rajnikanth to play a cameo in his much hyped and much awaited Superhero flick Ra.One. There’s a particular fight sequence during which Rajni would have to make an appearance and SRK is fingers crossed about Rajni doing the cameo for him. Rajni is right now ailing from a health ailment due to which he may not be able to oblige the Baadshah’s request. But, wouldn’t it be great to watch the Robot assist G.One in Ra.One?
Fans would get really lucky to watch both these Super Stars in the much awaited movie of the year! Fingers crossed along with SRK fellas.
