Preity Zinta and Rituparno Ghosh come together
Priety Zinta is stylish, classy and of course choosy. Preity has said yes to Rituparno Ghosh’s English movie based on the late thespian Utpal Dutt’s play ‘Aajker Shahjahan’. Zinta’s publicist Tanujaa Mehra says, “Zinta is very keen to do the film, and hopefully the deal should be finalised in about a week’s time.” The film to be produced by Planman Motion Pictures also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Arjun Rampal and Jisshu Sengupta. Subho Shekhar Bhattacharya, CEO of Planman Motion Pictures had said earlier that two heroines were required for the leads. Preity has done Armaan, Lakshya, Veer-Zaara and Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna with Mr Bachchan, so let’s us see how this one fares. Sure the combination along with Rituparnpo creates a lot of expectation!
Wedding bells ringing for Preity Zinta and Ness Wadia
Every top notch couple in Bollywood seems to have decided to get married in 2007. After
the ‘assumedly-secretive’ relation of Ash and Abhishek was made public, media is up again with stories of Preity Zinta and Ness Wadia marriage. Preity who turned 32 on Wednesday has nothing other than “Jhoom Barabar Jhoom” for release in 2007. Looks like a good time for marriage then! But her would-be mother-in-law Maureen Wadia, unlike Jaya Bachchan for Ash, is not too happy with the relation. Maureen apparently had publicly mentioned that she doesn’t care if Ness got married to a “Zebra”. Hmm…she definitely looks inspired by Ekta Kapoor’s ‘K’ series vamps. Whatever be Maureen’s wish, if Ness (heir to Bombay Dying Group) and Preity get married then this wedlock would be the second greatest matrimony between a Bollywood star and business tycoon after Tina and Anil Ambani.
Preity Zinta in news again
A fake telephonic conversation between Salman and Aishwarya will again be in court thanks to Preity Zinta. While the telephonic conversation was actually in court for clartifications, a Mumbai based tabloid had libeled against Preity whose name had been included in the conversation in an objectionable manner.
Back then when the case was cleared as fake Preity had filed a defamation case against the tabloid and at present she is to bear witness to it in a mumbai court. Preity actually doesn’t need much effort to be in news, is it?
Preity Zinta defends boyfriend Ness
Preity Zinta’s celebrity-tycoon-boyfriend Ness Wadia was
accused of beating up some laborers at midnight outside her Bandra House. Instead of giving a clarification to the press Preity blamed the media of being irresponsible and asked, “Tell me, which place in India do you have workers working in a building at 12 O’clock at night?” According to a news channel Ness, a regular visitor at Preity’s Bandra house, got irritated with the noise the labourers were creating outside her house and manhandled them. Well, well, well…whether Ness actually had manhandled the laborers or not is a different matter but yes…the pair- Ness and Preity never fail to make news!

Have you guys envied Akshay Kumar and John Abraham in the title song of ‘Garam Masala’??? Frankly speaking, I have! Come on guys… did you see the way those two men were manhandling those gori choris… and just when my envy and jealousy was dying down (it take a long long time to come down!), Sajid Nadiawala announced the title song of his forthcoming film ‘Hey Baby’!!!
The song ain’t any ordinary number people… it features Akki, Fardeen Khan, Ritesh Deshmukh and… hold your breath — Malaika Arora Khan, Amrita Arora, Celina Jaitley, Dia Mirza, Ayesha Takia, Amisha Patel, Koena Mitra, Neha Dhupia, Minissha Lamba, Payal Rohatgi, Amrita Rao, Aarti Chabria, Hrishitaa Bhatt, Riya Sen and Sophie Choudhary!!!
And if that ain’t enough, Lara Dutta, Bipasha Basu, Preity Zinta, Sameera and Sushma Reddy might also be a part of that ONE SONG!!! Trust me guys, my heart is paining much more than my fingers after typing all those names 
it’s gonna be a visual extravaganza alright… but the acting schools all over India will definitely have a huge crowd coming their way after the film is released!

Okay so all of us had our share of chuckles on Preity Zinta’s extra flab and the disastrous
outfit she had adorned in the song… but she did rock n roll well, didn’t she??? Talking of the ‘Rock and Roll Soniye’ song, it surely did compel me to tap my feet throughout … And my dad, every time he sees the song mutters is umar me bhi bete se achha naacha hai buddha!!!
Well if you call this praise, then the ‘dude’ deserves every bit of it – and much more! Seriously guys, having crossed the age of 60 and some near to death injuries and experiences, he’s indeed going strong… much stronger than several youngsters in Bollywood (including Abhishekh)! In short, Mr. Amitabh Bachchan is the Hindi Film Industry’s sab se jawaan buddha

Preity Zinta’s extra ‘curves’
Oki guys I’m sure all of you loved watching Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna and came out smiling despite so much crying in the over 3 hrs flick (man! I actually had an argument with my girlfriend about the length of the flick )… I actually checked it out once again to observe it all the more and surely did hit upon a couple of things which I’m sure you intelligent people would’ve noticed in the first time itself…
One of them being Priety’s flab … Gosh! She was looking so damn FAT – especially in the ‘rock n roll’ song! While the father-son duo of Amitabh and Abhishekh Bacchan literally rocked and rolled in the racy number (and Rani sulked a lil too much ), apni Preity was flaunting a whole lot of extra ‘curves’ in that golden attire of hers… No wonder even SRK wasn’t particularly happy with her in the movie 
… Wonder what his son Aryan might say about his favorite “Aunty” on this!!!
Shahrukh’s son Aryan is a huge fan of Preity Zinta
Shahrukh’s real-life son Aryan simply adores Preity Zinta. So much so, he doesn’t like dad ditching Preity even in a film. That’s the reason Shahrukh didn’t allow his son to watch the second half of his recent release ‘Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna’.
A close friend of Shahrukh says, “Shahrukh had organised a special screening for his kids, but didn’t show Aryan the second half, because he knew Aryan would feel bad about the climax. Aryan is very fond of Priety aunty and would not understand why his father ditches her for Rani.They are too young to understand extramarital affairs”.
And we hear Priety is a big fan of Shahrukh. It’s all in the family, you see ..
Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna – we sum it up for you!
So, it’s a big film… Big budget, a loong looong time to be made, an even longer star cast and above all – A HUGE star back up! You got that right people, Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna hit theatres this 11th and has driven straight into our hearts right from the first show… First things first, the expectations that everyone has while buying a ticket to a Dharma production – especially when it’s directed by the maestro himself!!!
Karan Johar has given two hits back to back as a director and everyone in the industry would have his/her eyes on this wiz kid to churn out another blockbuster and complete his hat-trick. And at such a situation, what does Johar jr. do? He goes hysterical and takes a big risk at such a crucial point of his career. Instead of the tried and tested united family or puppy love, which with the treatment of Karan Johar gives a guarantee of a super hit, he narrates a tale on infidelity, hatred and broken relationships!!!
What does he churn out anyways? A blockbuster again, or a first box office dud? Well that’s for time to tell, but a few things are confirmed
• Karan Johar is one of the best narrators in the industry today.
• ShahRukh Khan is not called King Khan for nothing.
• Hugh Heffner, watch out for Amitabh Bacchan’s kinky one liners to beat yours.
• Abhishekh Bacchan can act (especially with daddy around )
• Rani Mukherjee acts and looks better than Priety Zinta any day!
• Above all — Risks (calculated ones) do PAY OFF!!!Kudos to the young mind of the director for trusting his instinct and making a wonder of a film…
Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna – Movie Plot
After ‘kal Ho Na Ho’ and ‘Kaal’, Karan Johar returns with another winner in Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna.
With so much hype happening around the film, the audience’s expectations are high from the year’s biggest film that has a mammoth starcast – Amitabh Bachchan, ShahRukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Rani Mukerjee, Preity Zinta, Arjun Rampal and Kirron Kher.
The music has been composed by shanker Ehsaan Loy and the lyrics are written by Javed Akhtar. We hope their pairing rocks the charts for several days.
‘Kabhi Alvida…’ centers on the budding romance between Dev (Shahrukh) and Maya(Rani), who are both married to different people , but stuck up in unhappy marriages. Shahrukh is married to Preity Zinta, whereas Rani is married to Abhishek . But their marriages are loveless and unsuccessful( or so,as we are made to believe). SRK plays a father to a 7-year old ( a la kuch kuch hota hai) . Shah Rukh is always angry because he’s got a perpetual limp and he can’t play football and his wife (Preity Zinta) is more successful than him.
The reasons behind Rani’s drift are also somewhat weak, like hubby Abhishek demands something more from her , in bed and in day to day life.
And the two decide to play marriage-counsellors to eachother. They discuss books and techniques to save their marriage , but the two end up having an extra-marital affair themselves. And this results in collision of lives and emotions, affecting everyone involved and changing their lives forever.
Amitabh Bachchan’s character is quite ‘rangeela’ and it has sexual undertones. But the father-son chemistry, between Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek is awesome.
And unlike Karan Johar’s earlier movies, it’s not the audience that sheds tears this time , it is the actors themselves who cry and cry …..
But the film has some good moments too, that are touching , and the film is beautifully shot in the picturesque New York.
The movie is quite long (around 3 hours and 15 mins) and may not hold the audience’s attention for that long .
It remains to be seen whether Karan Johar’s ‘hatke’ movie impresses the orthodox Indian audience, since his earlier movies were family entertainers, Karan has taken a big risk this time by dealing with the subject of infidelity.
The movie is running full houses everywhere due to its huge starcast and Karan Johar label. We hope Karan’s new formula is accepted , otherwise the audience might start saying ALVIDA to him …..
Preity doesn’t want to go on forever …
Preity Zinta was recently voted the country’s most glamorous star and is one of the most sought after actresses in Bollywood. But these labels and tags do not change anything for the vivacious Preity , who agrees that the top heroine slot is short-lived.
She says, “when you have the benefit of age you don’t get roles of substance and vice-versa. But one must realise that one doesn’t always have to walk in front, one has to make way for others, like somebody else did for you. That is the law of nature. I don’t want to go on forever, but as long as I am here I want to do the best of work with the best of people “.
Preity is humble enough to give the credit of her fashion sense to her designers Manish Malhotra and Suriely Goel.
On being questioned about her bubbly image, Preity retorts,”I wonder why I am constantly being labeled bubbly. In the last eight years of my career, I have played various kinds of characters. My character in KANK is multi-layered. It is a film that anyone in the age group of 4 to 104 will enjoy again”.
In ‘Kabhi Alvida…’, Preity plays the character of Rhea Saran, a high profile editor of a fashion magazine who is married to Shahrukh Khan. KANK releases on 11 August worldwide.
