Salman on Shahrukh’s show!
Shahrukh Khan’s chat show, which is hosted by the very bubbly Preity Zinta, will have the Dabangg dude Salman Khan to be the first guest.
Pretty Preity is all set to expose the lesser known side of Salman. The bubbly queen will also share about her having a solid crush on her star friend and that how she went to watch Dabangg, dressed in a burka.
Salman was a sport too. He danced with the actress on the title track of the show and even posed for a make believe film poster titled “Pyaar Mein Band Bajega Halu Halu” and for this speical section Salman dressed as a bandmaster, while Preity as a coy bride.
Produced by Shah Rukh’s Red Chillies Entertainment, the first episode of the show, is all set to go on air on UTV Stars today, i.e. Sep 3.
Sigh! Preity and Kareena are friends, finally…
Preity Zinta and Kareena Kapoor have finally decided to let bygones be bygones. One side, the bubbly Zinta went all out to praise Kareena Kapoor, the other side saw Kareena complimenting Preity on her sweetness.

On the other hand, Kareena said, “I am really flattered with Preity’s compliment. She is really sweet and very genuine as a person. She always speaks her mind so I know whatever she wrote was heartfelt.”
Now this gestures made by both the actresses towards each other comes as a real surprise. Their rivalry goes back to the year 2008 when at a party hosted by Akshay Kumar, Preity Zinta snubbed Kareena Kapoor in public. The fight got worsen when Kareena was replaced by Preity in Karan Johar’s ‘Kal Ho Na Ho’.
But leaving past behind, we are guessing the two actresses have made up and are now friends.

The dimpled queen Preity Zinta is completely bowled over Hrithik Roshan’s look in Karan Johar’s “Agneepath” remake.
Posting a message to KJO on Twitter, Zinta said, “KJO! Saw Hrithik’s look in Agnipath & what can I say except its rocking & Drool Drool! All the best 4 this 1 Ting!”
Wearing a red vest, jeans and a bandana reading ‘Govinda Mahautsav’, Hrithik is seen sprinting with his rippling muscles, in the first look of the the film. .

Preity Zinta gets the Khan’s on her show!!!
The bubbly Preity Zinta is a personal and professional favorite with both Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan. The Khan’s share an amazing rapport with the cutie.
Now, the latest we hear is that both, Sallu and SRK are ready to come for Preity’s show.
Salman Khan will appear in Preity Zinta’s new chat show, ‘Up, Close and Personal with Preity Zinta’ on a new channel to be produced by Shahrukh Khan’s production house, Red Chillies Entertainment.
Is Preity trying to get the Khan’s to patch up???
The actress said, “Please…somebody help me escape this question!” She added, “Each one of us has his or her own equation in the industry. This is really beyond me…or anybody else. Let’s wait and watch.”
Okay! The Khan’s will appear on Preity’s show but on different episodes.
“Ash and I have always been there for each other”: Preity Zinta.
As soon as the news of Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan’s pregnancy was announced, there were n number of names that popped up to replace her in her upcoming film.
One such name was actress Preity Zinta, who’s fuming at reports of her replacing Ash, who reportedly is also her BFF.“I am very disturbed with these false reports. I really fail to understand why no one checks with me on its authenticity. (Filmmaker) Rajkumarji (Santoshi) is a close friend, so are the Bachchans,” she says.
Zinta has always maintained that Ash and she have become good friends over the last couple of years. Talking about their friendship, she had earlier said, “Ash is someone I can call a friend. We have kept in touch and shared our ups and downs through the years. We have always been there for each other through our tough times. I know that I can call her up anytime.”
Though Zinta is currently not in the country, she is happy with the news of Ash’s pregnancy. She has conveyed her wishes to the family personally too. “Aishwarya is a dear friend of mine. I wish her all the very best,” she says.
Zinta plans to catch up with her BFF once she is back in town. Says a source close to the actor, “She is very happy for Aishwarya and Abhishek. They’re close friends and she has known them for years now. Once she is back, she may take them out for a celebratory dinner to catch up on some much needed quality time.”
Preity Zinta now into film production…
Preity Zinta has launched her own production banner, PZNZ Media, and is all set to produce her first film this year, a romcom to be directed by Prem Soni.
Preity, who has yet to pick the cast for the film, tells a formal announcement will be made soon. A part of the film will be shot abroad, but strictly on a budget. The actress is confident that she will succeed as a producer because she can work hard and has the right instinct when it comes to film scripts.
“It’s an instinct for choosing the right movie that’d got me where I am today,” she points out.
A friend prompted Preity to turn film producer, pointing out that she had jumped into IPL without knowing anything about cricket so she could certainly produce a film.
“Of course, after that I took a course at the Harvard Business School, asked a million questions and gave two years to the game. Film is my core competence and it should be easier focusing on it,” Preity says.
“Suddenly, the sky is bluer, the birds are singing and life is so cool,” she adds.
Prem Soni’s last film, Main Aur Mrs Khanna, headlining Salman Khan bombed at the box office, but Preity is unfazed.
“I’d rather work with someone who’s fallen down hard than someone who’s at the top because he’s driven to go out there and prove a point to the world. Even Imtiaz Ali’s first film, Socha Na Tha, wasn’t a blockbuster but today everyone wants to work with him,” Preity says.
Preity-Lee an item???
Bollywood actress and co-owner of Kings XI Punjab, was on a secret date with her former team player Brett Lee. They were spotted having fun at a nightspot in Mumbai.
If news is to be believed, there was media outside the nightspot awaiting the couple’s glimpse. And so to avoid that, Lee and Zinta spent around two hours together at Olive (the nightspot).
Finally, while Zinta sneeked out from the back door, Lee departed from the main entrance, least there be any further rumours.
Going back to the first IPL season, rumours had it that Zinta and Lee were dating each other. Preity was very generous with warm embraces especially to the Aussie hunk, all in front of the media and so the rumours.
In an interview, Lee even revealed that Preity Zinta was his favorite actress.
Preity Zinta makes a smashing come back in Mahesh Manjrekar’s next…
Good news for all the Preity fans. News has it that very soon, Preity Zinta is all set to hit the cinemas and this time she will not be the same bubbly and chirpy Zinta. Instead, her role will be more toned and subtle Mahesh Manjrekar’s hard-hitting drama, White will have Preity playing the leading lady.
“ I can’t be doing the bubbly dimpled babe all my life,” said Preity Zinta on making her long-awaited comeback to the silver screen and this time she is venturing out of her comfort zone.
Mahesh Manjrekar’s film, White, is a hard-hitting drama about a woman, who goes through several shades of dark and light experiences, right from her 20s to her 60s.
Apparently when Preity read the script she was ecstatic. She teased Manjrekar and asked, “Why me? Why not Tabu who is your favourite actress?”
Reportedly, Manjrekar, wanted to cast an actress with a bubbly, rom-com image in an edgy, dramatic role.
Zinta refrained from commenting on Manjrekar’s offer and simply said, “At this stage of my career I need new challenges. Luckily, directors can see beyond my chirpy I’m-so-happy image.”
The last we saw Zinta in a not-so bubbly role was in 2008, when she played a battered wife, in Deepa Mehta’s Heaven on Earth.
Manjrekar, who had not directed a Hindi film for five years, made a comeback last year with the gritty City Of Gold. He is currently shooting for Anees Bazmi’s Ready in Bangkok. When asked about his project with Zinta, he tells us, “I’ll finalize the project when I return to Mumbai.”

In a recent interview, when asked if she had plans other than IPL, Preity said:
“My loyalties are with the team and I’ll travel for all the matches. I have this TV show happening, and there are two movies that are in the pipeline. I am super busy, but enjoying it.”

Karan Johar’s famous chat show, Koffee with Karan, has always managed to come up with surprises. This time, however, it astonished us as much as the actor in question.
The finale episode had siblings Tusshar and Ekta Kapoor, who managed to end the season with us rolling on the floor. When questioned by KJo, who is the actress synonymous with botox, the Shor In The City actor said Preity Zinta.
Our source tells us, “During Karan’s rapid fire round Tusshar and Ekta decided to fight it out by being as blunt as possible.
Tusshar did not dodge any question and answered more fearlessly than the otherwise fierce Ekta to win the coveted hamper.
When Karan asked Tusshar to name an actress synonymous with botox, he promptly named Preity Zinta. Both Ekta and Karan were surprised at Tusshar’s response.”
When contacted, Tusshar Kapoor said, “Oh god. Is this going to become a controversy? Everyone knows that Karan’s rapid fire round is just for laughs. You don’t mean it, nor do you have time to think about your answers, when Karan puts you on the spot. I’ve loved Preity since the time I saw her in Soldier.
Recently I saw her pictures in a magazine where she had lost oodles of weight and was looking stunning. When Karan asked the question, Preity’s name just came up spur of the moment. There’s nothing more to it.”
