John Abraham has been offered a role in an animation flick named “Ali Baba And 40 Thieves”. The movie is going to be a 3-D animation movie directed by Soumitra Ranade. John had come to attend an event to promote the music of his latest movie with Nagesh Kukunoor, Aashayein. It was then, when he spontaneously decided to give his vocal chords some exercise and his fans a delight. The actor was quoted saying
“You get an actual feedback when you are in front of a live audience and realize how much they mean to you, and how much you mean to them. And I think it’s a great connect with people. This is why it’s important for Nagesh (Kukunoor) and I, besides the singers, to actually come here and sing for the audience here, and I think the experience is great.” John has earlier sung for the Pakistani band called Strings.

He says he has always loved all the sports but soccer and football have been something close to heart. Asking about his favourite team, the expected answer was Manchester United, but the actor said it was Tottenham Hotspur.
“Manchester United is exciting but my team is Tottenham Hotspur!”, says the sporty hunk.

Madhur Bhandarkar wanted John Abraham to lose some weight and muscles to get a skinny look for “aashayein”. And while the actor exercised excessively and ate lesser, he wasn’t feeling very fit at the end of the day. John would almost collapse after they packed up on every day. This eventually worried the director as he saw himself as guilty. But John would refuse to stop exercising and made it sure to Bhandarkar that he was all well.
