Aamir Helps Jiah Learn Urdu!
Aamir Khan who chose Jiah Khan over Kangana Ranaut in his forthcoming film Ghajini got into trouble when his lady had to deliver lengthy emotional dialogues in Urdu. Jiah is not at all good at Hindi or Urdu and just didn’t sound right when she spoke her dialogues. But Aamir, the perfectionist he stands, knew exactly what to do.
“I must admit it was a bit of a problem. Aamir and the director got me an Urdu dialogue coach, Athar Nawaz who guided me. And each time I’d be stuck with a line Aamir helped me out,” Jiah told IANS.
“My mom, who lives in London, flew down during the shooting. She speaks Urdu fluently. She ran through the dialogues with me over and over again. I think I’ve done my lines very well. To have my lines dubbed would have taken away from my performance. I think I managed my lines well,” she added.
“Like the Urdu-Hindi, I’ve mastered the dancing to a large extent,” she said talking about her song Lattoo in the film.
“I realised how hard it is to do a sizzling song. The song is a very Jennifer Lopez kind of number. It’s very stylish and chic. In a week’s time, it goes on air. That should answer the question why I’m not seen in the publicity,” she said.
Well… to me she doesn’t look pretty one bit… But if Aamir was okay with her, it means the girl has got something!

Apparently cool dude John Abraham was hurt when news channels showed photographs of Bipasha Basu kissing Manchester United soccer star Christiano Ronaldo.
During the Bipasha-Ronaldo kissing controversy, John was filming Nagesh Kukunoor’s Aashayein where he portrays the role of a gambler. Even though John was hurt and upset her shot all the intense scenes of Ashayein without batting an eyelid.
Shailendra Singh, producers of Aashayein reveals, “Yes, John shot the most emotion-packed scenes of the movie while he was going through a personal crisis. However, he is extremely professional and he gave an outstanding performance.”
John surely knows how to keep his professional life away from his personal life. Atta boy!

Deadly Combo-Jiah Khan and Aamir Khan
Jiah is finally in news about her upcoming movie! After making rave news about her debut with Amitabh Bachchan in Nishabd and Ramu being extremely interested in his new discovery, Jiah has now bagged a precious role outside her mentor’s arena. This girl surely has luck following her as every co-star she works with is of star status. Jiah has got the golden opportunity to work with Bollywood’s perfectionist Aamir Khan. She has been signed as his second heroine in Kajiri- the same role for which Ayesha Takia, Kangana Ranaut and Priyanka Chopra were slated.
A source confirmed, “Yes, Jiah Khan has been signed on as one of the leading ladies along with Asin. In the storyline, one actress plays a part in the past and the other actress plays a part in the future. While Asin has been roped in to play the first part, Jiah has been cast in the latter role.” Well, well, well looks like this girl is going to make it really big in Bollywood!
Ramu’s new muse- Jiah Khan and not Nisha Kothari
Looks like Ram Gopal Varma is taking Bollywood by the storm of his movies this year but not all his women are happy by his moves. Jiah’s apparently held the post of being Ramu’s favorite for quite sometime now and it is not going too well with Nisha Kothari who was termed as Ramu’s latest muse.
Being extremely fond of Jiah Ramu has been considering gifting her a flat and a few of Ramu’s meaty roles are already in Jiah’s Bag. Oh well all that is obvious and very Ramu kind. He is the typical Bollywood movie director who is capable of making and breaking careers. What does it matter to us until we get some nice movies to see but otherwise all this is just junk for us!
Nishabd is a sure shot
Nishabd has proved that Ram Gopal Varma has not lost the magic that he used to weave. In spite of no songs, no items, no heroism, no action and to top all that no moral preaching, the movie seems to successfully tickle the nerve that goes for the most unconventional of the lot. It is three stars and one thumbs up for the movie.
And Jiah is sure believed to be apt for the cast opposite the Super Actor, Amitabh Bachchan. Yet another landmark acting from the legend himself! At least in the movie you can afford to go haywire with your feeling. After all it is all about chanelizing your thoughts.
Nishabd will release as scheduled
Delhi High Court has rejected Bengali Filmmaker’s plea to stop the release of Nishabd.
The filmmaker claims to retain the right of the title ‘Nishabd’ and the Court had also issued a notice to RGV Film Factory asking the concerned people to answer the petitioner before March 23rd. The Court said the petitioner should have approached the court earlier if he wanted to stop the release of the movie. So at last some good news for the team Nishabd.
Protest against RGV’s Nishabd
The word ‘controversy’ and the name ‘Ram Gopal Varma’ have become synonymous. A week back a copyright infringement case was filed against the RGV Factory for using the word ‘Nishabd’ that was protected under the copyright act by a Bengali Film Maker and now the Lok Janshakti Party at Jalandhar has started a protest against the content of the movie. On Friday the party men were quoted saying the film was against Indian Culture and that it is degrading on Mr Bachchan’s side to act in such a movie.
While the so called proponents of Indian Culture shout the slogans loud, Big B staunchly says the movie is not about an old pervert. It is about emotions brought before the audience in a subtle way.
“It is a tricky subject, more so for an audience, which is very traditional and conservative in most parts of India… This (the relationship shown in the movie) was not going to be something that was going to be physical, sexual or sensuous in any manner. No, obviously not. What it really is that there is this situation that has happened. But now what? It is more than why it happened and the film goes into the whole history of the fact that she is 18 and he is 60. It is how the family, the person and the young girl become a part of this concept. How they react and what really happens in a situation like this. That is what the film is all about” says the veteran while elaborating his part in the movie.
Ram Gopal Varma’s Nishabd in Court
Ram Gopal Varma is a busy man, not just because he is a prolific film maker but also because every film of his welcomes a court case and he has to do rounds at the court before he prepares the premier of each of his films. Nishabd has also welcomed one such court case filed under Copyrights law. The Delhi High Court has issued a notice to Varma’s Factory for Copyright infringement.
Jahar Kanungo, an eminent Bengali Film Maker, claims he retains the right for the title ‘Nishabd’ for 10 years now since his Bengali film of the same title released in 2005. Kanungo’s film has won best film award in many International Film Festivals like at Osian’s Cinefan Festival Asian Film in July 2005. If Varma Film Factory, Adlabs and Super Cassettes Ltd do not file a reply to the allegations by March 23rd the movie will not be allowed in theatres. And all this hiatus just when fans are counting days for the film to release!!!
Jiah Khan the hot favorite
Jiah Khan is the buzz word in Bollywood. And all this not just because she makes onlookers nimble at her drenched self in Nishabd, but because she has immense talent to stand alongside Big B too. So it is quite natural that offers seek her path. And the latest in the list is Sanjay Gadhvi of Dhoom and Dhoom 2 fame. Looks like the director is trying to compensate for moving out of the Chopra camp! But Jiah is very skeptical about the offer as he wasn’t ready to divulge much about his project which was simply not acceptable to Jiah. Let’s see if the lady obliges Gadhvi or not.
Nishabd- Amitabh Bachchan at his best with Jiah Khan
It will be the most challenging role of his life. Sure Sexy Sam was difficult for him, but ‘Nishabd’ was tougher. Ram Gopal Varma, in his version of Lollita which has been named ‘Nishabd’, makes the legendary actor fall in love with the 18 year old Jiah Khan. Catch what the actors and the director said at the music release function:
Amitabh Bachchan: “I’m sure after you see Nishabd you would also perhaps realize that what you went through is quiet genuine and honest.”
Jiah Khan: “I love his performances, capability and persona. I love him for who he is in his films.”
Ram Gopal Varma: “The day people don’t want to see (the film), I will be out of the business. I am fine with that; I live life the way I want to.”
So the suspense will unfold itself only next month!
