Star Voice Of India meets cold response
Star’s latest talent hunt for singers Star Voice of India, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Dha Ni Sa has met a cold response after the candidate turn out in Mumbai at the Bhavan’s College, Andheri turned out to be very low. Just a few hundred contestants were seen at the venue. The team was expecting thousands and had planned to telecast the auditions as in Indian idol but every fell flat with the cold response. On the other hand auditions for Indian Idol on Sony and Sa Re Ga Ma Pa in Zee had a good response. The fault lies with the lack of publicity for the auditions. Hopefully by the time the next cities have their auditions enough publicity will be done to let the ambitious ones know about the time and date and venue of auditions. Gajendra Singh, however, is unperturbed “This is all false information. I think it’s an attempt to malign my show,” he said. “There were at least 6000 people who came for the audition on Friday and the selection was done by our in-house judges. I admit that there were some technical difficulties on Saturday and we could not shoot it properly. So, we will shoot it again on Monday,” he added. “The show will go on air from May 18. So, I guess, the publicity will start next week. We are just keeping our fingers crossed.” Sure he needs some luck with all the talent hunts going on at the same time.
Indian Idol 3 takes off
The all time favorite Indian version of American Idol is back with the same punch and the same host. Indian Idol 3 is again being hosted by Mini Mathur (she sure looks pretty) and our very own Hussain. Indian Idol has grown since the first time it appeared and this time it covered almost 12 places including London and Dubai. Star Voice of India repeating the same cliché- Venue and Timings not yet official
I have received several mails asking for the venue and timings and details about the show. But I am disappointed to repeat it again that the authorities have not made such information official to the larger media. But amid all those request mails I received one particular concern, which I thought I can put forward so as to start the forum and take the discussion ahead on the issue.
Star Voice of India Talent show’s announcement and the news that the audition will take place only in major North Indian cities reminds one of all the partialities done to the South Indian Audiences.
Earlier when participants from down south made it to the big league-like Karunya in “Indian Idol” and Hema Chandra in “Sa Re Ga Ma Pa”, they lost out not because of lack of talent but because of lack of votes. Now one has to understand that votes are never directly related to talent. So the questions remain:
Why does this happen? And why has South India never actually been a major player in such Talent Shows? –Is it because the channels have not been keen enough to bring down south in the larger picture?
The person who raised this concern has something to say. I want all of you to listen to it:
Its’ true that in South India there is less percentage of people who will watch the channels like SONY, ZEE, and STAR TV’s. But that should not be the reason for which the channels like STAR to take decision like they are not going to do any auditions in the Cities like Hyderabad, Bangalore and Chennai.

STAR Tv launches search for yet another Voice of India
Star is going all genuine with another talent hunt show. The channel plans to launch a talent hunt show but still boasts of it to be true. Well let’s hear it from the man himself. Gajendra Singh who has finally broken all ties with Zee television is back with Star Tv starting from hi Antakshari to his latest Star Tv Voice of India- Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Dha Ni Sa. 
Ganjendra has huge plans to make the talent hunt sound as original as possible. “I have never repeated anything. This show is unique because every city will have gurus or representatives who will be helping the contestants. We have also made arrangements so that even 3,00 candidates can be auditioned in a day. All this is being done because we respect those who have a good sense of music,” Gajendra says. Voice of India, which boasts of big names like singers Alka Yagnik, Abhijeet and composers Jalit-Lalit and Adesh Srivastav as judges, will begin its first round of auditions from Kolkata on April 30. Ah well, however new he tries to make it appear, it really sounds the same.
Rakhi Sawant on Koffee With Karan
After the most sensational of Bollywood- Mallika Sherawat made an appearance on Koffe with Karan, it is time for the television’s sensation to come for Karan’s hot Koffee. None other than Rakhi Sawant has accepted the anchor’s invitation to appear on Koffee with Karan. The queen of controversies was surprised to have Karan Johar on telephone. Rakhi says, “I couldn’t believe Karan Johar was on the phone with me. My palms got sweaty and I was mumbling and jumbling up sentences. This is the first time in my life that someone actually made me speechless.” Rakhi is all excited to wear a designer wear for the show “Imagine having Manish Malhotra make something for me! Shah Rukh Khan winds up KBC
Shah Rukh Khan is all set to wind up this season of KBC and he doesn’t want anyone to go without winning something. So the way out is to gift all the contestants with a Hundai Santro car. Yes, you have heard this strategy earlier and even Shah Rukh remembers it- The Oprah Winfrey Act! Sanjay Dutt for a Koffee With Karan
Are you a fan of Sanjay Dutt and have been very eager to find out how his life had turned out to be after all the hardships and speculations about his personal life? Sanjay Dutt, Priya Dutt and daughter Trishala come together to talk about Sanju Baba and their life with him. Take a sneak peak at the conversation:
Karan: The kind of life you’ve had, I think books are written on such lives. What do you have to say about what you’ve been through?
Sanjay: Karan, I don’t regret anything! All I can say is that losing my parents, quitting drugs, going to prison, if I sit and sulk about it I wont be moving on in life. So you should keep it at the back and you should learn from it.
Karan: All the years you spent in jail, the very thought is scary. Even spending one day in jail personally scares the living daylights out of me. How many months were you in jail?
Sanjay: 18 months.
Karan: When you look back at that 18-month phase, what is the one thing you learnt out of that experience which you can share with us?
Sanjay: Karan, it’s just to be humble. It humbles you down and makes you realize how important freedom can be, which all of us take for granted. You know, freedom is taken for granted. When it’s taken away, you realize how important it can be. I think God had a plan to send me there and to just humble me down, cool me off and that’s what’s happened exactly.
Karan: Did you need that cooling off?
Sanjay: At that time, it didn’t feel like I did. But now when I look back, it has made me a humble person.
Karan: Did you feel answerable to people? Did you feel you were being judged on certain occasions?
Sanjay: Absolutely! I felt I’m being judged. And I have to answer and have to clear my name and the name of the family.
Karan: Is there a love? Is there ‘one love’ of Sanjay Dutt’s life he’s never gotten over?
Sanjay: One love of Sanjay Dutt’s life! (Laughs) I’ve had a turbulent past with the loves in my life.
Karan: When you look back, you just savor every relationship but you don’t feel that you fell in love that one time and maybe nothing came out of it.
Sanjay: The problem with me is that I fall in love all the time.
Karan: You fall in love far too often?
Sanjay: Far too often!
Karan: Are you in love today?
Sanjay: No.
Karan: No? So all these rumors about your alleged marriage are all…
Sanjay: All rubbish! I came on TV and denied it also. There’s no marriage. We’re just friends.
Karan: When you look back at all these 13-14 years, what has your reflection been to all this?
Priya: I think we’ve come out of it pretty strong. My father always used to tell us it will pass. What we’re going through will pass. There’s always light at the end of the tunnel. You have to fight. You have to face whatever you have to. I think that’s what our resilience is. There are times when we feel everything is going so well in the family, what’s going to happen next. You know there’s a calm before the storm. We’ve got so used to that!
Karan: Though you’re his younger sister, there are times that you must have wanted to plank him on his head and ask what are you doing! There are times you want to beat him up?
Priya: Yeah, there are times! I think there are times I lose my cool and you know. I think now, that whole age difference doesn’t exist. I think all of us have always been very protective about him.
Karan: That’s the vibe he generates in the industry as well. That’s why he is called Sanju Baba!
Priya: Yeah, I guess so! Everyone who knows him is protective about him.
