Imran’s wedding invitation cards are in the form of swipe cards…
Bollywood’s young superstar Imran Khan is all set to tie the knot with long-time girlfriend Avantika Malik Monday and is sending out invites in the form of swipe cards to keep gatecrashers out of the venue.
Along with the wedding card to the selected list of invitees, Imran, 27, has attached swipe cards.
“Along with the invitation cards, the guests are also given a swipe card, which is necessary to access the venue,” said a source close to the actor.
The wedding functions are starting Saturday (Jan 8 ) and will be followed by a registered marriage Jan 10. After the marriage the newly-weds, along with their guests, will head to Avantika’s farmhouse in Karjat for celebrations.
As expected, both households are buzzing with activities preceding the marriage.
“There is so much happening at home. Lot of activities – rehearsals for the sangeet functions and preparations for the wedding,” said Kiran Rao, who is Imran’s uncle Aamir Khan’s wife.
Imran Khan is Flooded With Offers!
Imran Khan is Bollywood’s current heartthrob and advertisers are queuing in front of his door asking him to endorse their products. Ranbir Kapoor, who also made a debut last year
was signed by Pepsi and he also endorsed a famous suiting and shirting brand.
But it looks like this Khan lad is a tad different. He hasn’t signed a single endorsement deal yet. And the simple reason he gives us is –
“I just can’t identify with any product that I’m asked to endorse. It’s not about not doing cigarette and alcohol ads. That, of course, goes without saying. I won’t even endorse clothes or drinks that I don’t use.
“I recently had a big Delhi garment industry offering me an endorsement. But I don’t wear their clothes. How can I ask other people to wear them? I’ll endorse the products that I use,” Imran said.
Now that’s what I call – Mind Over Matter!
Imran Khan Goes Aamir Khan Way!
Imran Khan is surely going his Mamu’s way. The lad trained hard in martial arts for his forthcoming film Kidnap.
According to sources in the crew of Kidnap, “Imran has a lot of fighting sequences in the film and most of it includes martial arts. He was assigned a special trainer for the same before leaving for the long schedule of Luck.
But as he got busy promoting Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na after it released to packed houses, he had little time on his hands to give it to his martial arts training sessions. Imran landed in Cape Town without proper training.
But the makers had already arranged a special trainer for him on his arrival. So Imran spent a lot of hours daily practicing martial arts to bring perfection for his action steps. He also worked out a lot on his physique for his role in this particular film.
It is learnt that the next schedule of Luck is going to take place in December but so fascinated has Imran been with his martial arts training that he wishes to continue with the same till the next schedule begins so that he is well prepared that time.”
He has inherited that from his Mamu… Getting into the Skin of his Characters. Looks like there is another superstar in the making.
Minissha on Ranbir and Imraan
Minissha Lamba is only eight films old and she has got to work with two of the nations current heartthrobs – Imraan Khan and Ranbir Kapoor.
On being asked who she liked better and the 23-yr-old actress says – “They are fabulous actors and easy to get along with. Both are well-read, down-to-earth and cooperative. In fact, Imran is a walking and talking encyclopedia.” She continues to gush, “I was shooting with Imran even before his Jaane Tu…ya Jaane na was released. I had told him that he will become a star overnight after his debut film.”
And we see Minissha’s prophecy has rightly come true!
Kidnap Preview
Talking about Imraan Khan, I happened to take a sneak peek into his forthcoming film Kidnap and he looks hot! The movie is directed by none other than Sanjay Gadhvi, the man who made Dhoom and Dhoom 2. So you know what to expect from Kidnap.
Imraan Khan plays Kabir, a baddie who kidnaps Sonia (Minnisha Lamba) who happens to be Sanjay Dutt aka Vikrant Raina’s daughter in the movie. Vikrant Raina is a super cool and super rich industrialist and the movie is his trial of his love for his daughter and how far he can go to save her from the clutches of Kabir.
Super star cast, Super director, and with Pritam giving music, we cannot but desperately look forward to this movie. We hear its going to be a big festive release on Eid.

Guys if you have seen Singh is Kinng you must have witnessed the promo of Imran Khan and Sanjay Dutt starrer KIDNAP, where Imran Khan turns bad from good as he is the kidnapper in the movie who kidnaps Sanjay’s daughter Minissha Lamba.

Sanjay Dutt prefers Imran Khan to Shahid Kapoor
Shahid Kapoor is turning heads after the box office success of his movie Jab We Met, but he has failed to turn the head of Munnabhai of Bollywood, Sanjay Dutt as he has lost out on a lucrative offer of working with Dutt to Imran Khan.
Apparently Ashtavinayak wanted to have Shahid in their next flick Kidnap, but took Imran Khan on suggestion of Dutt, as the later did not find Shahid suitable for the role.
An insider reveals, “Well both Sanjay and Shahid didn’t get along well during their last film Vaah! Life Ho Toh Aisi! Shahid didn’t interact with him much and Sanjay thought that the young actor has an attitude problem. This irked Sanjay being a senior.”
A close friend of Shahid says, “Poor Shahid was in awe of Sanju and was too shy to be on back slapping terms with him.”
Imran Khan will be sporting a more muscular look for the movie as the producers have asked him to put on some weight.

And if the buzz is to be believed, it says that Karan Johar is the latest director on the list to approach the young heart throb. According to the sources, a role in Karan Johar’s My Name Is Khan has been offered to the lad, which means he’ll be sharing a screen space with none other than SRK himself. This role was earlier offered to Ranbir Kapoor, who couldn’t take up the assignment and so was dropped for good.
